Last update:  03-16-2005

Submitted by Ced

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world leader in advanced memory technology, at the CTIA Wireless 2005 Convention & Exposition, recently announced that it has reached agreement with PalmSource to work together to port Samsung NAND Flash software into the Palm OS® Cobalt and future releases of the Palm operating system.

The planned solutions are intended to enable ultra-fast storage of huge multimedia files while reducing the processing time of next-generation Palm Powered™ phones. Samsung is a partner in the Palm OS Ready (POSR) program and is applying its expertise in memory technology to lower development costs and shorten time-to-market for Palm Powered phones and other wireless devices.
