has informed us that they
will not release any new Clie PDAs this year in the US
.
The Clie line will continue in Japan though. This move is of course

five different takes on what this move means to the PDA world." - BargainPDA
"Today Sony announced that it will no longer develop and sell Clie handheld models to the United States market, at least for the foreseeable future. However, it also stated that it remains strongly committed to wireless mobile devices, including cellphones and communicators manufactured under both the Sony and Sony Ericsson brands and its PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld gaming device." - Brighthand
"Sony has divulged that they will not be releasing any new Clie Handhelds products in the coming fall. Sony will be suspending new Clie product development for the US while they reassess the direction of the conventional PDA market." - PalmInfocenter
