Tapwave has just announced that the Zodiac (1 & 2) now supports the Sandisk 802.11b SD WiFi card using the new Sandisk SD WiFi card driver. While the Tapwave WiFi page mentions that WiFi access " Requires a palmOne™ Wi-Fi® card", the free download page specifies that a "SanDisk® Wi-Fi® SD™ card" is actually needed. This probably indicates that the driver will support both cards or a PalmOne driver, which recently came out for the PalmOne Tungsten T5, is also coming out soon for the Zodiac.
Along with the WiFi driver announcement is Tapwave's surprise release of the PalmSource Mail 5.2 app for the Zodiac. It supports up to eight individual IMAP4, POP3, and SMTP accounts. According to PalmSource , Mobile Mail 5.2 is actually created only for devices running Garnet (Palm OS v5.4 up) and Cobalt (Palm OS v6). The Zodiac is running Palm OS 5.2.7. Mail 5.2 is a free download at the Tapwave site for Zodiac owners.
On a 1SRC-PriceGrabber search, the SanDisk® Wi-Fi® SD card can be purchased for as low as $62.87:
