A limited number of Sony’s CLIÉ handheld model PEG-TJ27 in the last production lots have an infrared port which may not function properly during communication mode (‘beaming’).
In order to determine whether or not your PEG-TJ27 has the issue, please check the following:
• The CLIÉ handheld is a PEG-TJ27
• The PEG-TJ27 serial number falls into the affected range: please type in your seven (7) digit serial number in the box below and press submit to determine whether your CLIÉ handheld may be affected by this issue.

Approximately 4,300 TJ27 CLIÉ handhelds have this issue.
