Today, Palm and Verizon Wireless will begin selling the wildly popular Palm Centro smartphone at Palm.com, VerizonWireless.com, and at Verizon retail outlets.

The Centro will run Verizon customers $99 after signing a two year service agreement and after sending in a $70 main in rebate.
The Verizon Centro shares the same specifications as the previoiusly released Centro smartphoes; including:
- Palm OS 5.4.9
- VersaMail 4.0
- Threaded Text Messaging
- 320x320 pixel touchscreen
- Athena Muliti-connector
- microSD card slot supporting up to a 4GB card
Unlike other wireless carriers in the United States that have at least two color choices, the Verizon Centro will only be available in a cobalt blue. There is no word on whether or not a second color will become available; however, the Verizon Centro specifications page does show an unbranded black Centro.
