We missed reporting this. A few weeks back, PalmSource started a blog to talk about the upcoming Developers Conference in San Jose, CA through May 24-26.
From the PalmSource DevCon Blog:
"Welcome! This is the official blog for the PalmSource Mobile Summit and DevCon 2005 to be held at the Fairmont hotel in San Jose, CA Tuesday through Thursday May 24-26, 2005. You can get more info at http://www.palmsource.com/events.
We hope this blog will encourage dialog and feedback from the Palm OS community as we head into the Conference. This year we have added a Mobile Summit component to address the business aspects of the mobile industry in general and the Palm Economy in particular. Let me know what you want to hear about from PalmSource and if any of the following resonates with you. Some feedback we have already received from Developers:
- "I have a Palm OS app currently distributed through a major carrier--they 'own' the customer data and I 'own' the customer service/tech support for the app. I am interested in participating in a best practices discussion on how to work with customers (customer support, upgrades, registration issues) when you have no record of who the customer is."
- "What is happening with Linux?"
- "How can I make money from the market in China?"
- "How do Palm devices compare with other mobile platforms?"
- "What's going on with carrier OTA delivery of Palm OS applications?"
