 Lightened Vowels for ATOMIK | ATOMIK Keyboards for myKbd These ATOMIK keyboard modifications are inspired by the Metropolis keyboard distributed with myKbd. It has the vowels lightened, a modification I've found to be helpful in learning the ATOMIK layout.
There are two versions included. One is the default ATOMIK keyboard with no other modification than lightening the vowels and changing the colors of the bottom far right and left cells. The other is modified further to allow for four more myKbd macros than the default layout. This second layout is the same as one I've seen posted here by others.
Unfortunately, I've lost track of the text files from which these were compiled, so they are not included.

 4 color options | ATOMIK myKbd Custom skins These are a few of the ATOMIK keyboards that I made in differing color schemes. I've also included the text files just incase you want to change anything to suit your liking.
These keyboards require myKbd by Pruss to use and the keyboard editing package. You can either just edit the text files, then run go.exe or you can use http://mykbdedit.lattilad.org/ to edit the text and preview your keyboard.
Get the trial version of myKbd here: myKbd
If there are any Linux users who would like to edit their keyboards PM me and I will send you the adapted go.exe for Linux.
Enjoy!!

 | Backqua DIA ALPHA Here's an early alpha version of the DIA for my Blackqua theme for Megalauncher and PalmRevolt. The wifi icons in landscape are definitely broken (don't know why) and I'm not really that happy with it as a whole at this point. Any suggestions would be welcome, I just wanted to get something available because it helps integrate the other skins into a whole unit. I didn't skin the graffiti area because I like to use photos and an Atomik keyboard. I will work on that part last since it means the least to me.
Please note the 'OM' button Hey, I'm Hindu!
Edit: I just uploaded an updated version, still very alpha but I think better. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

 1.0 | Bliss for Zodiac 1.0 2nd version
Landscape picture fixed
I am still waiting for feedback
This skin, used with a launcher supporting back images, will make the DIA area match and line up with the back image. Its hard to describe, and I dont have a Zodiac, so I need feedback, but I am fairly sure this version works right.

 | Bures Big Keys for myKbd The philosophy behind this keyboard is two-fold. First, the letter keys are as large as possible within the confines of the space available (much larger than the standard myKbd layout). This is to facilitate faster tapping since there is an inherent reduction of accuracy in fast tapping. Also, larger keys means fewer keys, so it is easier to find the one you want. Second, based on the results of exhaustive studies of letter pairs and triplets frequency in the written English language, and (again) within the confines of the space available, a desired letter will most often be next to or just one other letter away from the letter just tapped. In addition, keys that perform functions like return, capitalization, shift, and space (unmarked) are strategically placed, often with familiarity with standard keyboards being the goal. Notice also these special keys: You can access Graffiti by tapping the unmarked red key; the Cycle key is marked with an italic "m"; two assignable macro keys are found in the corners, unmarked.
The image shown is for the Portrait mode, Landscape mode is also included. I use Landscape mostly, and the layout was optimized for that mode. When displayed on the Palm, the images won't have as much bit depth as the example image (sorry for my inadequacy there).

 Metropolis Modified | MetroMod1.prc Metropolis myKbd skin colour tweak.
This is a very slightly modified version of the Metropolis myKbd skin, which I like better than ATOMIK.
The original Metropolis colour scheme is slightly inconsistent with the colours of different types of keys (special, macro/cycle, punctuation, etc). This mod corrects that, and I think may make it a little bit easier to learn. Also, the little triangles at the top are now white so if you use a colour scheme with a white background this blends seamlessly.

 | QUONG "Lefty" Keyboard Layout for MyKbd This is a "lefty" version of the QUONG keyboard layout for MyKbd.
The numbers are shifted to the left and the letters to the right. The vowels are colored and the font is Trebuchet.
I did this to move the most common keys away from the "weak spot" that develops in the Grafiti area.
===============================
QUONG keyboard layout for myKbd
===============================
This is a keyboard layout file (or "skin") for the myKbd program for PalmOS. With it, you can have an input method that is far more efficient than any other pen-based method. With practice, you should be able to achieve 40-60 words per minute, comparable to typing! This is mainly because of two features:
1. You can stroke from one character to another to enter more than one letter at a time. (I recommend turning on audio feedback in the myKbd preferences to make this clearer.) Stroking is much faster and easier than tapping.
2. The layout of characters are optimized to minimize the number of strokes.
This layout was based on the Atomik layout, included with myKbd. Atomik is a great layout, and much better than anything that was available before. But I (and many other myKbd users) felt that Atomik wasn't as efficient as it could be, and some measurements proved this correct. Using a genetic algorithm, we optimised the layout for entering English text in the minimum number of strokes. It also resulted in more of the most common English digraphs and trigraphs (combinations of two or three letters) being available as a single stroke.
The result is the QUONG keyboard, named for the first five letters in the top row. This layout is free (though you'll need to register myKbd to use it beyond myKbd's trial period). Share and enjoy!
QUICK INSTRUCTIONS:
1. If you don't have myKbd already, get it from:
<http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodid=119441>
Install this on your compatible Palm device. You don't have to pay for it right away; it includes a free 15-day trial. You don't need to install any of the optional keyboard layouts, but feel free to do so if you're curious (myKbd makes it easy to switch among the installed layouts).
2. Install the QUONGLefty.prc file in this archive.
3. Run myKbd on your palm, select the "QUONG Lefty" layout from the list, and click the Load button.
That's it! Poke around in the myKbd preferences to set things the way you like, and experiment with the layout.
The source file for this keyboard layout is included; it's called "QUONG Lefty.txt" and is for use with the myKbd Keyboard Generator, a free Windows utility from the author of myKbd. Most users can ignore this file.
Finally, DO practice. You didn't learn to touch-type by half-heartedly trying to use a keyboard the first time you saw one. You had to practice to get proficient. This is the same way; but a bit of effort now will result in years of efficient, easy text entry on pen-based devices.
