| TX & Infrared connectivity Much emphasis is made on bluetooth & Wi-fi for the TX. But it has Infrared connectivity too.
I have a Nokia 5140 phone which has an infrared port. Does infrared of the TX works well for internet, email, SMS when using an IR cellphone as modem?

| Never used it that way. I had a Nokia phone that had IR, but it would only do sync between the palm and the phonebook... still handy though. |

Email and SMS are possible, but I do not think the speed of IR is anywhere near fast enough to sustain internet browsing. Regardless, any of these things would require the phone and the PDA to have IR connection drivers to send these types of data.

| I did this with my Tungsten 2 and 3 via the IR-Port of my old Siemens S45 and again with the S55. So I do not think, that there is a problem with the T|X. All you need is modem-driver enabled cellphone.

| I've done web browsing and e-mail using infrared between PDA and phone with a Tungsten E and Tapwave Zodiac 1 and various phones (Motorola tp280, Nokia 8290, Nokia 6610). No problems, but I was using dial-up rather than GPRS. |

| I've a NX70v and have always surfed the net with GPRS through IR on Nokia 5210, 6100 and 6600. No problems if you use proxy. If not it takes longer to load!
Just have to have the correct drivers for your phone as said before.

I have the NX70V too. But IR still is mysterious to me. The Clie Manual does not have a single description on how to use it. Can you elaborate a bit on the drivers for the phone. Where can they be found?
