| annoying bug.. blue frames getting stuck around things this is kindof hard to explain, so i took a picture. basically, in many applications and many boxes, the "blue frame" seems to get stuck around things. i have no idea what's causing it, but i'm pretty sure it never happened before a certain time, so maybe i did something to cause it *shrugs*.
anywhere, he's a pic.
the "all" thing has the blue bar around it. that's supposed to happen for a certain amount of time or whatever i believe, but it gets stuck there even when i click on different things and such.
anyone else having the same problem? know of a way to fix it? |

| This is neither a bug nor a problem; it is a feature.
This, commonly referred to as the blue halo, exists to show you where you 5-way navigator is currently positioned. Pressing the center will select what is highlighted, moving North, South, East or West will move you (in most cases) to the next button in that direction.
I have read of some confusion, particularly in navigating Memos, so here's a tip. When the blue halo is on either Done or Details in an opened Memo, pressing North (or up) will frame the on-screen text, allowing one-press loading of the next screen of text, rather than scrolling line-by-line.
Practice a bit and you will get the hang of one-handed nvigation. |

| well, i can certainly see how that would be beneficial. the problem though, is it's not acting properly. i do think it's intended to show up sometimes, but often it's simply there because it didn't "reset" (redraw?) properly. the reason i know is because lets say a menu shows up over half of this "blue halo". when taking the menu away again, half of the blue halo is missing. this indicates to me that it's actually gone, but it just hasn't taken it off of the display yet. is this common? |

| I have not noticed this behavior in either my E2 or TX. Did you upgrade from a prior Palm handheld? If so, did you follow the upgrade directions at palm.com which involved renaming your backup folder? Wondering if an inappropriate system or preferences file got synced over from the old device. Have you installed any hacks, launchers or skins? Did you check if they are the appropriate version at palmfacts.com and/or palmfocus.com? |

| skinUI will disable such effects and make them more subtle and skinnable

| i did have a handspring visor edge before this pda, but i didn't put any of the things from the handspring onto this device, used it as a totally new one basically, so i don't think that would be it.
i have installed some hacks, but i would think they are all ok since they are all very recent (all but one of them is from palmpowerups). other than that, i think the only thing would be shark's tx home fix |

| Likely to be one of them or how they interact together. I suppose the best solution would be the old-fashioned process of elimination and pair-ups. Do let us know what you find out. Good luck. |

| Is there any other possibility to hide/kill the blue frame, maybe with Rsrcedit? |
