| Hey Sharky. Great to see your still developing. I never did get to taste the end result of SharkSwipe on my Zod. Is there a full version available for the TX?

I dont believe SharkSwipe is device limited. It uses fairly standard code, so it should run on a TX. Nevertheless, Tyler doesnt have a TX, and the simulator cannot run ARM code, so you will be trying it at your own risk until Tyler gets someone to test it for him.

| I will test it for Tyler I tested SharkTXfix for him. I think Palm should give him a TX and all other Palm's so he can help them, but that's just me. I'll give sharkswipe a try, right now. |

Oh, what was I thinking. Sharkswipe is device limited. It is made for the TH and the T3. Though it should be possible to convert it for others. That was me talking without thinking.

| hi! okay, to sum up:
1) you must copy the StatusBarResource from a card or beam/bt it over.
2) the programs are independent. Enable SharkTXfix and install the StatusBarResource for best effect.
3) unfortunately no way to make it stick after hard reset.
best regards, tyler!
ps: sharkswipe... ah yes. the Up swipe code was pulled right from the SharkSwipeT3 code! more on that in a bit...

o~
i'm very happy to hear this tool exist~
it make my future pretty TX become great~ ^^
for me, both find and home is important~
the find is very useful, yet, home is more useful~
so i am very happy to hear the find function could be called by a strok~
but i wonder, in landscape mode, i should draw a line from where to where, while in protrait mode is from home to top.
and very happy to hear it work in landscape mode too~
and i think, if wanna make it alive after hard reset.
make a "palm side" intaller and let us put it in a SD card
while we simple click on the installer in SD card, it will automatical install the program to palm without the need to use computer.

I don't know what happened, but I just run into a major problem with this fix/revised resources, after it worked flawlessly for a few hours.
Suddenly the TX reseted everytime I pressed the home button (no matter which program was assigned to). Even when I disabbled SharkTXFix and restored the old resource file (I kept a copy of the original version).
After about 20 soft resets, and one warm reset I finally did a hard reset. Fortunately I have BackupBuddy VFS Pro and did a complete restore - except SharkTXFix and the revised resources. I went through just fine (so BackupBuddy VFS is working on the TX ) and I don't have resets any longer. So I for my part will stay away from this fix for a while - although it is very much possible that the problem is very specific to my TX only.
Cheers. |

You cant just restore the old resource file. It never actually disappears, it is in ROM. What you need to do with the resource file is change its version number to 3, reset your device (soft reset), and then delete the file. This may not solve your problems though, you may have to get some help from Tyler.

Thanks for the tip. I shall remember that. However, I'm currently a little nervous using the fix and the updated resource file. But this will not stop me from trying again sometime down the road.
Cheers. |

| I finally go the new status bar to work. I put it in MySkins folder and merged the status bar portion. Worked fine.
I couldn't get a copy to work from the SD card into RAM for some reason. I am using Resco Explorer to do the copy, I wonder if that had anything to do with it. |

| Anyone notice this yet? If you are not already in the application launcher and you hit the Find icon it brings up the DIA along with the Home icon to get you there. |
