I recommend using The Core Pocket Medai Player (TCPMP). It plays almost every common video format in (for PDAs) high data rates. The latest beta version can be found here. The programmer is very thorough. So typically his beta versions are as stable as final released programs. There's also a great support forum with a wealth of tips and information.
