| If you recorded them on the TH55, you can play them in voice record. If not, put the 128kbps .mp3 (they need to be that ) files in /PALM/MSAUDIO

| If your MP3's are not 128kbps, which, being lectures, are probably not, check out the other options in MP3 players like PocketTunes. They accept a much wider range of MP3s than the built in player and you can drop the MP3s anywhere on your card.

Yep, one tip is also that from this time forward, record all your voice menos using th55 so you can also play those files in build-in voice recorder for better battery life. Because pocket tunes isn't best for battery life. All build-in softwares are builded to save th55's battery. Best for example is that you can get 5-10 hours listening music with pocket tunes but if you listen music using audioplayer you get more than 10 hours of playback, even up to 72 with new shark's mp3 player.

| They don't have to be 128kbps. I convert plenty of audio books to 64kbps. However, they do have to be constant bit rates, and recorded at 44KHz.

Itunes is a player for win/mac, and you can use it to convert your music BEFORE you can sync It to your palm ...
I just want to add a question : do you know a good player, that can convert Mp3 'on the fly', when I sync with my Th55, to keep good quality (320kbps) in my PC, and get a 64kbps music in my TH55 ??? (I can almost do that with media player 10, but I can only convert into WMA, which make shark audio crash ...)

If your computer sees your memory stick as a mass storage device MusicMatch Jukebox does this admirably. You can set the portable device manager to resample all files to a lower bitrate before transferring them. This is what I do, as all the mp3s on my computer are recorded as high-quality VBRs--unplayable on audioplayer. |
