| z22 Just curious if anyone is going to get the z22?
I'm currently without a pda right now and was thinking of getting it. Just need something to organize my school homework and keep track of bills and such. Seems like it might fit the bill.

| I just don't know why they keep doing 320x320 palms... I garantee you that once you use a 480x320 display you will see a great difference.
I would never go back to a 320x320 display...
Cheers,
RuiD

Actually z22 has 160x160 screen. But i don't also understand why palm is staying in 320x320 thought . However i don't recommend that device to anyone. Anyone will enjoy a lot more 320x480 resolution screen or bigger. But i have heard that VGA screen in pda is too sharp . Nevertheless 320x320 is all past. But if you want just a basic pda i recommend you for example palm zire 71. It is very stable, i have one, so it does work as great basic needs even it has 320x320 screen.

About my gadgets, I'm now just using my psp, camera and cellphone. Maybe I will someday get a new pda, but it must to have phone cababilities so I don't need to use my regular cellphone anymore. And yeah, this means I won't be hanging in here 1src that much anymore. If someone want me to remove unfinished threads from 1src or something just pm me. Keep your gadgets running! |

I'm thinking of getting it for my wife. She has a tendency to forget charging things, so NVFS is perfect. It's small and simple (she hates computers), so, good. And with her dog training/competition she really needs something to alert her of events AND she can print out the paper calendar. And its dirt cheap. |

| If you can get the Zire 31 instead, I think it's a better device with the SDIO slot and headphone jack. But the 22 isn't bad considering it's the lowest end device. You may be able to get the 31 for close to what the 22 is selling in some places. Do a search on the net. |

| The Z22 is better than the Z31 despite the lack of SD slot and headphones. Basic PDA users only need to know it will have power when its there, and nothing more....really, I wouldnt believe it myself if I didnt ask folks.
Here is my review at BargainPDA if ya need more info on the daily use: http://www.bargainpda.com/default.asp?newsID=2690 |

| Great Review Antoine !! I'm thinking of getting a Z22 as a back up PDA... I sold my T5 and my Sony TH55 to purchase the TX.... I have been using an m500 Palm with a quirky digitizer (I would be up the creek without Digifix) as my backup device but the monochrome screen has got to go... can't read it in dim light... so I was thinking of picking up a Z22 as my backup or "emergency" device... thoughts anyone?

| Its a great device as a backup. And not to explensive. Heck, you charge it once and leave it somewhere and dont have to worry about losing info. Thuogh i would recommend turing it on ever few weeks to give the battery a go. |

| Nice review Antoine - Tell me about the battery - did you use the unit continuously for 9 hours or they were some on/off in between?

Initially, before testing, I would do normal usage, and the meter didnt move. I was wowed.
After figuring some issues out with getting pics on the device (SplashPhoto is a necessity here), I was able to make a slide show that enabled the device to stay on until it dropped. Even with the low bat warnings, it stayed on, so i could get a good stopwatch feel for the battery life.
In my opinion, many users of the Z22 (aka the target audience of non PDA junkies), would be able to get an easy 2 weeks, maybe a few more days out of it. Its kinda neat. Very, very efficient. |
