Exclamation PDA + Phone or PDA Phone

I own a palm and a phone although i am not a huge palm user at the moment. As palm phones are being more readily avaliable, why do people lug around two electronic devices when they could do 1? Also, as MP3 (powerful) phones are starting to come into play (Motorola ROKR) will you eventually have all these features on you "device"? Please share your ideas! -Ben

It depends, I'd like my Palm, a cell phone, and a Treo. And I'll just take what I want when I need it or whatever I feel like having. But If I had one choice, and could only get a cell and PDA, or only a smartphone, I'd probably go with the Treo, or, smartphone.

Both combinations worked for me, so whichever is better

LG-325 + UX50

Why? Two words:
"Battery" "life"

Well, and "money" I guess, so three words.

Both!

I guess Phone and PDA; UX50 + S56, if the UX50 would have had Bluetooth audio support the phone would never leave my pocket.
I think both because "he/she who has the most gadgets wins" right?

Zodiac 1 and Treo 600, so I'd vote both choices if I could. (I've carried a PDA and a phone for years, and just figured the phone might as well run the Palm OS too.)

BOTH: TH55 and SonyEri T630.
I even have a dedicated digital camera... . Too many devices in one are still too hard on the battery. As I use my TH55 very frequently I cannot afford to go out of juice:-)

A Tungsten X (the rumored model) with highRes+ as a smartphone would be great. The thumboard of the treo and its "only"-highRes screen kept me from considering it, as I am using the PDA (spreadsheets, ...) more than the mobile phone. I still believe that for me, thumbboards are a waste of screen real estate!
PPC-smartphone have versions with fullscreen and no thumbboard, but I started with palm and invested in a lot of registered software, so I see no reason to change any time soon.

A Palm 320x480-screen smartphone with the virtual thumbboard app written by Scott at tapland.com would be fine by me. It's there if I need it and not there if I don't.

The TH55 is almost all screen and 320x480 is a must for me in a PDA. Yet I don't want a phone the size of the TH55, not to mention having to wipe the face oil off the screen after every use as a phone! Nah . . . I'll stick with (happily!) two separate devices.

I do wish my TH55/U were an E with Blue Tooth, now that Verizon Wireless finally has a Blue Tooth phone. Anyone using that combination? How is it working for you? What is the monthly cost for voice/data combo? It seems to me the best option would be to jump on the "net" with my separate 320x480 screen PDA, connecting through my small cell phone still in the belt clip on my hip, via Blue Tooth.
