OS4 is not possible foer the Vii series as they dont have enough ROM or something like that if I recall correctly. The good ole wioreles software must take up a lot of space...
The upgrade process would wipe out the wireless libraries, so that would not be the problem. The upgrade software simply might not allow installation onto a VII. I know it checks the Palm before continuing.

but who knows that the OS can run on the Vii.
It would not be a problem to trick the program into beleiving that it runs on the intended handheld IMHO, but the wireless hardware may make problems...
