gfunkmagic Registered User Join Date: Jan 2003 Posts: 283	Macromedia Flash on Treo WORKS!!! :) Hey folks, just want let you know I got Flash player extracted from TH working on the Treo 650. Original info posted in thread below: http://palmz.in/showthread.php?t=23404&page=1&pp=10 Here are the instructions as translated from russian: 1. Make backup copy first!! 2. Install all files from sonycompat.zip via hotsync. (treo will reset) 3. Install MMFlash.prc and MMFlashLib.prc from TH55/UX50/UX40 with Zlauncher file manager, filez or etc... (Note, I used TH version) 4. Install .swf to /PALM/Programs/MMFlash. DON'T INSTALL to Internal storage. I've got it to work using sample swf. Others have reported it to work on T3,Z72,T5,Z71,TE (tested). Some devices may need UDMH, however, it worked for me without it... Here are some limtations: 1. Not all flash are work. And not all worked are work correctly 2. Based on Macromedia 5 Flash used in Clies, thus Flash 6 based movies won't work... 3. 5-way nav not supported 4. buggy, may reset... Got it to work with a couple sample swf. Haven't tried any Flash games yet. Cheers... The Flash player runs pretty fast, that's not really the prob. The main bottleneck appears to be the limited amount of Dynamic Heap, but UDMH seems to help with this...

Jayman, could you ever get sbemails from homestarrunner.com to work on your TH? I can't get them to work and I was wondering if it was b/c of the Flash player only supporting Flash 5 or if it was something due to the treo.. thanks!

asdfasdfasdf Guest Posts: n/a	Currently, FlashPlayer will not work on T\|T5 good/at all. Future version of sonycompat PRCs may fix this (with Update 1.1 installed). Zodiac issue will be fixed. BTW, FlashPlayer was not hacked to work on non-Sony devices. BTW2, SilkMgrStub allows to normally use VG with NetFront on T\|T3.

You can get it here: http://www.palmpowerups.com/downloads.php?cat_id=2 It worked on my Tungsten C and TX, however it is an old version (flash 5). Not too much media using 5 nowadays.

It only supports Flash 5. My Th-55 plays: billy_oud.swf 182k bondedorole.swf 397 and minigolf.swf 335k (which the controls suck) (I believe they are from the treo site) __________________ Th-55 U, T/X, TG-50, Handspring Deluxe (3) and PSP user.
