| ok thanks inginious, figured it out. Turned out I was missing the ASPI driver to make it work. Now it works like a charm and I'm decoding American Pie 2. I'm leaving it on overnight, lets see what this baby looks like on my clie tomorrow |

| After 5 hrs I have got myself a file that will play within my windows media player. What tool is better for transferring it to my Clie? I have tried Picturegear lite that came with the device, but found the quality very poor and no sound.
What do you use...?
Thx |

| Settings >> Output Settings >> Click on Whole (top right Box) >>
on "Volume don't exceed" use the drop down arrow to select Infinate.
Apply, try again.

| OK, I tried converting a short clip (5 minutes) and the video is very hazy and the audio does not match up properly with the video, plus the audio is choppy at times. The only settings I changed were fps: 23.96 and resolution 352x240. Am I missing something? |

| hmmm.. for anyone else who needs them the ASPI drivers for windows are at www.adaptec.com
with excellent instructions for installation too. it gives you the command to use "run" depending on your processor
iam only 3 days into this thanks to Inginious but i got excellent sound and quality looks top on my clie NX70
but i ran into a problem encoding "The Matrix" there seems to be a discrepancy between the encoding time and the actual time of the movie i lose the last ten minutes of the film.. any ideas??
Badandy - i open the dvd root not the ifo root then choose the largest file to encode

#27 | | Guest | Okay I follow all of there directions and got it all installed and when I start to rip a dvd it says a warning about out and imput sizes are diffrent so it will initiate pull down or pullup. I don't know if this is good but I ignore it. Then I get every time at 8.8%
an error that says " Mpeg2Dec: Too much sample. Try another frame rate or change " detect?force 24Hz flag". I tried to change the frame rate and get the same thing. So I tried the flags and I get an error saying it can't detect sound so it will put in blank audio for me. Is this right? | |

| I'm having some trouble with DVDx. It rips one chapter then stops. I've looked everywhere for a setting to make it continue throughout the entire movie with no luck.

| wah I'm having some trouble with it. I got the program downloaded. I got the drivers from adapted. I got a DVD and put it in my DVD drive. On the step that says "open dvd root" i choose the longest titlex which in my case is 50:23 and once i click on it and then click okay i get the following errors in succesion; "auth.dll: Can't authenticate drive DIsk may be not locked" then i get, "Unable to read from 'F:/video_ts\vts_06_1.vob" then i get, "MPEG2Dec : error during decoder instilisation."
I tried updating my Direct x drivers and that did not help. I noticed that when you download it from the DVDx site there is a link to the DIVX codec and i downloaded it but could not get it to install, however, i don't think this should have anything to do with it. Also, i tried two diffrerent DVDs and it still won't work.
Any help is appreciated
