Anyone seen some of Picsel Tech's new stuff?

I was just at the Picsel Technologies webpage, and some of the new stuff they are about to release sounds somewhat promising. Sure, it's been written by the geniuses of BS to make it sell better, but it still has some stuff that makes it sound like it may be a cut above the rest.

Picsel Browser sounds like a pretty nice piece of code. Maybe it's the all-in-one reader that we've all be hoping for...

Picsel File Viewer is essentially the Picsel Viewer that comes on most new Clies.

Picsel Messenger sounds like it's worth the license, as it seems to incorporate all of the troubles most IM applications available for Palm OS doesn't have (full attachment support).

Picsel seemed like a piece of cr*p on our TJ, TH, and UX (?) devices when we first tried it, but maybe they're finally pulling through? After seeing how Dmitry kicked their butts with his Picsel Accelerator, maybe they realized they needed to redeem themselves...

What do you people think?

I have to give a huge thanks to Dmitry for the Picsel Accelerator. I've used Picsel Viewer more in the past two weeks than in the past six months to read PDF's because of his work. He made the program what it should have been from the get go - useful.

PicselBrowser can be found online but it crashes when you try to enter the settings dialog because it is missing some libraries. I fixed this as well if anyone is interested provide me an FTP and i will upload provided you keep it up there for everyone else to download. It is a nice browser indeed.

I don't have an FTP server....but i may be able to find a global FTP site for PDA's.

it's like a communal video/music/pic FTP site that many people go to. my friend told me about it. i'll see if it's available for public use.

Ahhh it comes out looking all funky looking with strange symbols. I downloaded to card, installed everything, then reset the handheld. Also what I notice, its 320x320 .

That was definitely fast!

I just tried it out. I looks like it has PicselViewer included also because I can open word and excel files, I also tried jpg files. So if they will release PicselBrowser with support for other files what's the use of PicselViewer? I also get strange symbols. I opened up google and it launched Japan's Google. It seems to be slower than PicselViewer maybe a PicselBrowser Accelerator can help . As LupeValez said it seems to be 320x320 only, that sucks.

Does this work only on Clies? Maybe its a solution for those who want PicselViewer on their Palms.

Well so far, I don't know what the symbols mean and 320x320 isn't that good, plus I tried to open a comic PDF and all it shows was white so its kinda buggy. Going back to the nice, 320x480 Clie Picsel ^_^. Will be on the lookout though when it seems stable and full screen .

It seems like the program is in japanese, thats why it has all those symbols that our palms cannot show. It looks older to me than my Picsel Viewer since it doesnt have the zoom icons. Also when you browse your memory stick the background looks like an old texture.
