| It's strange because when I got it to work the first time it showed that 28 MB was being used from my 128, and then I re-downloaded from the link and installed and then format and I wasn't getting the result I got the first time.
I followed what you said on post number 15 and thought I would look at my TH55's FATFS creator ID and changed the FAT32 patch to the Same ID. I also changed the version ID back to 548.
What made me think that something was changed is because the re-downloaded one I got had the same creator ID and the same version ID as the one you changed for the UX.

| After doing that my test with FlyZip showed a 200 KB per second increase with the regular Memory Stick and a 200 KB decrease with my PRO Stick; but this seamed to only apply with the write speeds.
At the moment I am lost with what I did to increase the speed for the regular stick and can't seam to do it again.

| OMG OMG OMG!!!
This is soooo cooooooooooool!!!
I'll have to test it properly later, but I recovered about 10MBs of slack space on my card by reformatting it to FAT32! Unfortunately the partition table seems to have grown a lot too which takes the edge off it...
Some thoughts:
If I read things right, DG's original will probably work better on Palms and JA's modification will probably work better on Clies/HHE's...
The apparent incompatibility with AudioPlayer et al. is odd 'tho.
I'm backing up my TH55 before I play with this further; Don't wanna loose anything!! |

All CLIE users, be aware that FAT32-formatted cards will not play in the AudioPlayer/MediaLauncher for UX users. Not sure about anyone else. It freezes my device, FAT-formatted cards play fine.

Is there a way to fix this? |

Edit: Whatever that patch did, it also fixed my Netfront as well! |

| Hi! I kinda dont get it - I just install FATFS.prc to my device (thru some file manage off the card) and then just use it, or I have to rename it to FATFS and change the creator to what FATFS has? (Zire 71)
Thanks Dmitry for this thing! |

| Srcguy,
a file system decides how the files are stored on your memory card. Fat32 is a better file system...
Somethzing else to the hax0rs,. What about really increasing the version steeply, to say 999 or so? This would eliminate all kinds of conflicts. and what about getting the card info app off the life drive so that we can choose if we want to format 16 or 32(didn't test yet though). |

Use the UX patched version provided by me or perform the changes I have in the original patch. The changes I made will make will make AudioPlayer/MediaLauncher/FMP work on your device only with FAT-formatted cards. It will perform faster as well with the exception of the 32MHz setting in the Audio apps. As for playing files off of FAT32 cards, I use TCPMP and PTunes and they work fine with FAT32 formatted cards. But the CLIE Audio apps don't work with FAT32 formatted cards. Hopefully something can be done to support them.

#60 | | Guest | Also, try Card Export II with FAT32. OMG, its a little slower than Data Import but a lot faster than Card Export II with FAT (as expected) but is suprising.
