| SJ22 is different than the SJ30 Some are saying that the SJ22 is the same thing as the SJ30, but after reading some reviews, this is not correct..
Besides the new price and no Docs to Go on SJ22, it also has a better screen than SJ30.
-Taken from http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/feature/sony_SJ22.htm The screen is an excellent backlit hi-res 320 x 320 pixel, 65,000 color TFT screen and offers sharp images, text and icons. Compared to the SJ30, the SJ22's screen is a little bit brighter and doesn't have the SJ30's strong blue cast— a small but welcome improvement.
Therefore, Sony did enhance the screen in SJ22.....just to clear this up, it's not exactly the same PDA as the SJ30 |

| The screen of the SJ30 and the SJ33 is different also. The SJ33 has more of a white colour whereas the SJ30 has a slight blue-ish tint. |

| Hehe, I'm glad I have my white backlit SJ22 instead of a blue-tinted white backlit SJ30 |

| I used to own an SJ30 and I never saw any bluish tint, but I did see shadows at the bottom of my screen! |

That all depends on the lighting conditions. |

#6 | | Guest | sj22 or sj30 Since they seem to have most of the same features, but you probably want Documents to go, doesn't that mean that the price reduction for the 22 pretty much disappears? If so, is there any reason to get the 22 instead of the 30?

| It's a $100 difference for canadians. I don't think documents to go standard is $100 CDN. |

I disagree. The SJ33 unit I saw at circuit city had the exact same screen as my SJ30.

| Has anybody with an SJ22 or SJ33 been brave enough to disassemble it? I have an SJ30 and would like to compare part numbers. (This would help in a definitive answer to these questions.)
thanks

#13 | | Guest | Obviously a matter of taste. I haven't seen it in person, but the black SJ 30 looks pretty cool.
