So are you saying that the games you like, are better than the type of games I like?
Funny, I didn't see any PSP at the theater yesterday, but there were plenty of "Nintendo" DSs and GBAs. Now who dominates the handheld market... Not Sony. Maybe Sony should fall back from the Handheld market. It's not going to happen, the same is true for Nintendo and the console arena, since they still produce the most enjoyable console games IMO.

This is about consoles, not about handhelds. Those really have nothing to do with the upcoming releases of the 3 next-gen consoles. Yes, we know nintendo rules the handheld market, yes, we know Sony (almost) rules the console market. Why all of this sudden talk of PSPs and GBAs and DS handhelds? |

| Hey, when someone (Who could this be... ) makes a comment that basically implies Nintendo should just go away, as if they're somehow doing poorly, it's good to point out one of Nintendo's many cash cows that only ensures they'll be in the console race for a very long time, even if they don't appeal to the average "US GTA peep;" This is why I brought it up.
Even though Ninendo's and Sony's portables are not consoles, they do play a part in the console area as a smart controller. The GBA does this now, since it can be partnered with a GC to enhance some of my games. The Revolution will support this option with the DS, and I recall reading that the PSP will work with the PS3 in a similar fasion, or was this the PS2? Anyways, I'm just trying to point out that there is a clear bridge between two areas of gaming.

No, it's about why everyone has a hissy fit when people bash other systems and can't get over the fact that it will always happen look beyond it but INSTEAD feel the need to come out and whine about WELL SONYS BAD AT THIS or XBOX SUCKS AT THAT THING or NINTENDO HAS THE WORST GAMES EVER!!!. Hey, you've come back and sucessfully defended a gaming system, you're a winner! Five points for gryffindor! |

Yeah, your right! Bleh. And unlike Ezikial, I didn't have a clue about who gryffindor was.

| I've been quite happy with my Xbox. What games I do want to get that were out for the PS2, particularly the GTA games, usually come to the Xbox looking much better anyway. For XBox 360, I am particularly interested in Oblivion. However, I doubt, given the price of either system, I would be an early adopter. |

| I'm in no rush, either way. I don't have any major desire to be an early adopter of either system, and probably won't upgrade until late 2006 at the earliest, unless one of them does something REALLY cool (in the real world).

| Sony has pretty much hammered home the point that the PS3 is going to be anywhere from expensive to insanely expensive. I think this will drive more people to the Revolution and the 360, more than create a sense of brand loyalty.

| At least they're honest about one thing.
You've probably already encountered this, but the feed back from the developers about the Sony and MS boxes, are that you get what you pay for, and that the CPUs are underpowered and the GPU for at least the X360 is closer to the current lineup. These systems are quite week when compared to a PC when loaded with the hardware goodies for games. So as usuall, just more E3 hype which most peeps will naively consume.

| I think that a majour loss was had when MS and Sony went for chips with no out-of-order instruction support. AI calculations and realistic physics probably would have worked much better with the normal processor design. Then again, Nintendo hasn't formally announced their specs, so there might be hope yet.

| I can only hope, if not, at least their console will be affordable.
