| Treo 650, DUN, UX50 Yes, I know it's odd, but I want my UX50 to be able to connect to the Internet via the Treo 650 and Bluetooth. I see the Treo as a companion to the UX50, not a replacement.
My Treo 650 is an unlocked GSM version, which means it comes with Dial Up Networking enabled. The SIM card is from T-Mobile (USA), and my subscription includes GPRS service. I have used this setup reliably with my previous phone, an Ericsson R520m. I have cloned that setup, changing only the phone driver on the UX50 to the Sony "Generic GSM Ph" driver because, of course, I do not have a driver for the 650. In other words, I am using a modem initilization string and dialing string which are known to work with the R520m.
I do not believe the problem is in Bluetooth. The UX50 can communicate with the 650. I can send and receive SMS messages from the Clie, and I can even establish and use a CSD (circuit switched data) connection using an ISP, but this is much slower than GPRS.
When I try to establish a GPRS connection the UX50 shows that it initializes the modem, and then shows that it is "dialing". After about a minute it shows it is "retrying", but no error message is displayed, no connection. I imagine that the 650 may not understand the init string, but does not respond with an error message that the Clie recognizes -OR- that it simply is not processing the dialing instruction.
Experiences, ideas, advice?

I have a inversal idea; use my Sony Clié UX50 as a Wi-fi router, giving Internet Access to Treo 650 using a Bluetooth conection.
Is possible to do this?
Thanks in advance,

| Hummm... I was thinking in some "DUN" program or option to use in UX50, because I can use SDHC with 08 GB in my Treo 650.
This way, I was thinking in store my biggest mails to Treo 650 card...

| I think you can't, cause somebody told the UX50 is not able to work BT and WiFi at time...I could not try it, but, I think it was true! |
