I don't think so... porting over sorenson would be pretty difficult. But I've got a REALLY stupid question

You talk about
McFile (which I know, tested, and it didn't work)
and
McPhile (Which I don't know)

I remember a tool named McPhling, which was something like a DA launcher, but McPhile doesn't ring a bell. Maybe somebody could post a URL so I could test....

Thanx in advance

McFile worked for me... I used the 22beta1 version which the site singled out for NX users. This is great! Thanks to the entire ClieSource community!

So... has anyone compared the other MM files (besides Flash and FlashLib) to the ones in ROM? Were they the same?

Whoops! That was just me being stupid. I messed with McPhling in the past, and that got me messed up. I'll go back and edit my posts.

McFile worked for me as well, its kind of interesting that it is the only one that can do it.

Question: dúnadan was gracious to place 9 files in his zip file. which of the 9 files do we need aside from MMFlash.prc and MMFlashLib.prc?

ok I think I got it to work but let me get a few things straight.

I hotsynced MMFlash.prc and MMFlashLib.prc directly to MS. Then I renamed MMFlashLib.prc to MMFlashLib2.prc with McFile. I then copied both files to RAM with no problems. but when I look at RAM, I don't see any file named MMFlashLib2.prc but when I try to recopy the file, it says it is already in RAM.

I close McFile and click on the FlashPlayer icon and the FlashPlayer runs fine. When I click on about flashplayer it says "Macromedia Flash Player 5 Version 1.0" Is this the same as it was originally? The flash apps I have installed on my NX seem to run fine and have sound but I don't remember whether or not they had sound before.

I guess the easiest thing to test if it worked would be if someone could post a link to a flash app that uses MP3 sound? thanks

rhart00: It should say version 5.0.88.2
and you will notice the flash app is different and has a volume slider on the top right.

heres a file you can test it with when you get it going:

http://www.iconsofindustry.org/strife/strife1.swf

(note: i have 2 flash apps now)

You can find a bunch of Flash files on my page, many of them MP3 enabled:
http://hansschmucker.no-ip.biz/Flash/

I didn't test all of them, but some:
D.I.A. shows - Strange humor (BAAAD!!!, German)
Alcohol warnings - humor
The Beer Song - Al Yankovic
Blobs2 - Fun puzzle game
Cow - Cartoon, funny, country (mild adult)
Dear Penis - Cartoon, funny, country (mild adult)
Horse Chorus - mini toy - stupid but funny
Humor Pong - Animated, humor
Pingpong - stupid tabletennis game =)
Tetris - better then most commercial versions
WinRG - Your WindowsEmulator (Luckily, it's pretty hard to make your Palm Crash)
XiaoXiao - Great 3D animations

----
Sorry, PC just crashed when connecting to my Clié ... So here are a few more files

Shangai Dynasty - Will give any Palm Shanghai clone a serious run for it's money
Happy Pill - Funny Puzzle game
A-Blast - Great arcade shooter (Only playable at LOW quality)

---there are also a few thousand Garfield comics in X*480 JPEG at
ftp://hansschmucker.no-ip.biz/Garfield/480jpeg/
(Technically, you could use HTTP as well, but my Thumbnail code is not very well optimized, and a few thousand pictures are just too much for it)

----
Beware, this is my PC at home, so the connection is not too fast!!!!

Exactly 9,040 garfield comics, to be precise =)

You only changed the filename, not the DBname... so when you copy it to your palm, it is already renamed so that the filename matches the DBname, which is MMFlashLib

5 posts in a row -not good. Sorry folks, won't happen again!
---edit2
Copied them back into 1 post, hope that's better!

the app works perfect and so does the sound. I wonder why it still says version 1.0

I did run into some problems getting MMFlash.prc in RAM. But apparently it only works if I copy both files in one action (otherwise I got a file already exists warning). Had some trouble deleting the lib after that too btw.

It works fine now. Thanks for the tips.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the volume bar though (besides downgrading back to 5.0.88.1) I don't see why there needs to be a volume bar on screen all the time.
