| I tested the moded battery before :
listen to netradio by ptunes through wifi
Max volume
50% back light on
UX50 build in battery only : 1:10 hrs
UX50 with moded battery : 4:45 hrs
any other good method for testing ?

| Hey guys... not to disappoint all the UX EB40 users but I have some pictures of the REAL EB40 battery...
Thanks for all the info Hippo. Could you give us a list of all the parts you bought and some instuctions on how to create our own. I'd really like to try this. I've noticed that my EB40 battery has been dying very quickly and want more power.
Thanks.

| all the parts was used, I don't know how much they cost
battery x 2 (1 from broken LCD NX70 & 1 from my own NR70)
spring connector (from dead startac extra battery)
coil springs (from plastic lighter)
addtional hook (from used m515 plug)
some wires
connect all the batteries by parallel, that's all

| How did you hook up the middle prongs? What did you change in the UX? How did you remove the entrails of the JC40?

| the addition hook will snap on UX50 much better
UX50 contact pin 1 to USB V+, cut pin 2 & re-directed to internal battery V+
I remove the JC40 entrails by cutter & grind wheel as my previous post. |

| I added 2 spring connectors, but only using pin 1, 2, 4 (right to left as bellow)
pin 1 : +5.2V (as usual)
pin 2 : battery V+
pin 3 : not used
pin 4 : ground (as usual) |

| I ahve just bought a chager cradle on eBay.
I think I am going to try this modification
The only thing is that I have my UX since few days and I am not sure it is a safe idea to open it and make some changes in it.
What will happen if I do not re-solder Pin 2 to V+ ?
I follow KEVIN88GT : may you Hippo could show us the procedure in more detailed way ?
Thanks anyway for the idea. |

here is the photos all took before I sealed my JC40
I'm sorry that it can't be re-open for taking photo anymore http://photobucket.com/albums/v95/takuki_/PEG-UX50/
