| I does not own PEGA-EB40, It was borrowed from my friend for testing only.
PEGA-EB40 have a 4.2V 1,700mAh Li-Polymer battery and 5V steping up /
charging circuit inside.
PEGA-JC40 is the original cradle came with UX50, I just add 2 batteries inside & re-solder UX50 contact pin no.2 direct to the internal battery V+
& pin no. 1 to USB V+
therefore I can charge both internal & internal battery by USB or AC adaptor

| Amazing work Hippo! I'd never thought it could be possible to pack so much Batterypower in such a smal space. May I ask you how much you payed for the two batteries? I'm not a technical genius but since it's so hard to get an EB40 nowadays I might well get some help and build a custom battery too.
I have another request that might be a little bit off-topic too (sorry if it is). I remember reading a post some months ago about a guy who transformed his charging case (a black fake leather case where you can plug-in a mini-usb cable) into an extended battery. I'm almost certain it was posted in this forum but after days of search I'm still unable to find the article. I would be really glad if someone could help me find it. |

| I get the batteries one from broken screen NX70 & the other from my own NR70
PEGA-JC40 have not much space inside, grinded hardly to obtain extra 0.5mm
original
everything cleared & grind |

| hippo would you be interested in making these and selling them? I think if you priced them for less than the EB40 goes for ...i'd buy one..and i'm sure other people would also.. (would this be worth your time?) let us know...because having double the battery life of an EB40 is pretty damn nice

| Sorry! I mod it just for fun,
I will consider to sell my japanese UX50 set but not willing to mod it once more.
this mod took much time & need to re-solder 2 wires inside UX50
It will not be cheaper but better perfomace & ~3mm thinner than EB40
just for your reference : CAD55 x 2 for 1,100mAh batteries http://www.mrbattery.ca/product_ind...NO=010-SO001-00

| How much more power does it give you (in hours), with WiFi, or general use compared to EB40.

| Clie Batteries It looks like you could purchase two Clie UX40/50 batteries for $29.00 each at http://www.cliebattery.com/?CMP=KNC-ove28 and save money over the cost of getting the PEG-N710C and PEG-N760C batteries and not have to worry about boosting to voltage from 3.7V to 5.2V. Seems like it would be a little bit easier this way... |
