It is running OS 5 with regular graffiti. You have a button to push to bring up the graffiti function, and it is has designated area to input text. There are however programs such as Graffiti anywhere that you can find to be able to write anywhere on the screen, they worked fine on the Tungsten, I don't know how well they would work on this unit.
