| Treo 600 owners: do you miss hi-res? For Treo 600 owners who previously used a hi-res handheld: Do you miss it enough to wish you didn't upgrade to the 600?
Our Verizon contract is up, and DH wants to sign with T-Mobile for the h6315 phone to replace his dying iPaq 3675. T-Mobile only offers the Treo 600, not the 650. After comparing the Sprint 600 & 650, I'm afraid the 600's low-res screen will be a real-downer after 3 hi-res handhelds. (Darn Sony -- spoiled me!) I read eBooks, AvantGo and use Datebk5 heavily. I'm only a moderate cell phone user, so I'm considering getting a Bluetooth phone to iSync contacts, and keep my TG50 until the right smartphone comes out.
Speedy thoughts would be interested, since DH is pushing to sign ASAP b/c of a deal on the h6315.
Thanks,
Bree

| Hello breegenie.
I carry both my Treo 600 and a Tungsten T3. I use my T3 to view and work with Office attachments in Documents To Go.

| I used to have a hi-res Sony Clie NR70V and recently bought a Treo 600. Much to my surprise, I don't really miss the hi-res screen. The resolution on the Treo 600 screen is decent, but the photos on from the camera are pretty shabby. I rarely use the camera, so I'm able to get by. I mostly just need a phone and email and couldn't justify the increase in price for a better screen.

| I also carry a Treo 600 and a T|T3.
I can't wait for the 650 to come out.

| Closure... I actually ended up trialing the Treo 600 through T-Mobile. Company policy is 14 days, but the local store gave me 30 days.
So I've had the Treo for about 2 and a half months, and have been quite pleased. The small and lo-res screen wasn't as much of a factor as I was afraid it would be, once I found a replacement font I liked.
I was playing with my Clie TG50 last night, and realized it felt over-large compared to the Treo, although the screen was still more beautiful. Guess I'll have to upgrade to the 650 or its upgrade eventually.
