| Vista driver I have a new laptop that is unfortunately running Vista. I have downloaded the Palm Desktop that is supposed to work with Vista. The Hotsync manager does not come on when I plug in the Clie TJ27. Does anyone have any advice? |

| Hi All,
I'm trying to get the installation software for my Sony Clie SJ20. I've emailed and PM'd Cerberus and MicahDG, but haven't heard from either of them in a week.
Does anyone have access to the FTP site on SonyClie.org, and would either be willing to send me some login info, or download a copy of the CD for me and send me an ISO image.
Otherwise, if anyone has either the SJ20, SJ30, or SL10 Install CD, please contact me.
Thanks,
-Zack |

| There is a site that has the Clie drivers and it is on this forum site under General. Just go to the search forums at the top right and type Clie drivers in the search. www.sonyclie.org |

Ditto -- I'm trying to get the install CD for a Clie SJ22; have written MicahDG twice from two different email addresses in the last 10 days with no answer yet.

| You get the right people. I don't know who else to contact. Micah usually replies, at least to me. I unfortunately don't have the CD for SJ series.

| Well
I got the bastard clie working with Vista. I spoke to a sony clie guy, I told what i thought of sony, spending £400 on this in I think beginning 2005, and don't support it. This is the second problem I have with Sony, another sony webcam £80 now in the bin.
Anyway, he said no drivers were available, but did say they used the same operating system as Palm. So I tried my luck and install Palm access 6.2, and the hotsync detected my sony handheld.
Did a sync, everything got downloaded. But when I opened the Palm desktop, none of my files were being loaded. I look in the folder Palm OS, everything were, address.dat and address.bak. So I did a manual update, if anybody need help with a manual update just pm me. There are 2 methods.
Now after everything is backed up on 2 new computers, the clie has stopped working, it crashed on Boot up. Anybody know a solution for that.
It boots, then goes to date after reset, works well, then it say hold and the screen goes blank. All I am concerned now, I got all my data safe on 2 pc, and CD.
Sony sucks, they sell expensive **** we but, then don't support. No more sony computer hardware for me |

| I was told that the 6.2 is not supported by the older Clie. I installed using the Palm Desktop 4.2. I did not install into the Program File but directly on the C drive. I did a right-click on the Desktop icon and set the Properties to Compatible with Win XP and to run as Administrator. Right click on the HotSyn.exe file and run as Administrator. check under the Control Panel/System/Device Manager and see if there are any yellow flags. If there are then direct it to install the driver manually from your CD. I have it working with Vista and have had no further problems. |

| Sorry... I went through a computer-inactivity spell for a few months and didn't respond to any mails (not just clie-related ones) during that time. I have been active again and if you still need the login info, send me another mail

| Sony Clie PEG-N760C Driver NEEDED
I somehow misplaced my installation disc for my Clie, and bought a new Sony Vaio desktop. I figured that since it was Sony, it would already have a driver that could accomodate my Clie. Well, I was wrong. And now to upload data to a memory stick, i have to plug in my Sony digital camera, put the memory stick in there, upload onto the stick through the camera, then take the stick out and use it in the Clie. This is getting tedious, and things would go a lot faster if I just had the driver. I checked Sony's site, and couldn't find it anywhere. So if anyone has any advice on this, or is willing to link up with me on AIM and send the driver to me, I would really appreciate it. My AIM name is snowboard007, and send me an e-mail so I can be expecting some help; Tom_Ianello@msn.com. Thank you!
