| ok I've tried it right now and ...
ClieOrganizer works fine together with ZLauncher (or whatever other 3rd party launcher).
all you need to do is to tell ClieOrganizer not to be the default launcher.
go to Options -> CLIE Organizer Prefs and uncheck both the options (Assign to Home and Back select...).
that's it!! |

| This is great! Just followed your steps on the previous page and everything works like a charm. Only minor thing I saw is that the scroll bar on the viewer page goes off the screen when you have it in full screen mode... very minor
Thanks for going through all the effort to get this working everyone!

2. VZ Organizer, same or better than TH55 CO?
3. Can you please tell me whats the latest steps to follow as you have made many changes. You should probably restate all the steps with the proper files needed.
Micah: Thanks for all your contribution and can you make sure everything is updated before I proceed in trying this.
Thanks to all again! |
Answers:
1) It is different. Media Laucher can view videos, audio as well as photos while Clie Viewer only shows videos, shows and opens photos and recorded audio. But they are their files are shared amongst each other.
2) I have not used the VZ organizer and do not know how it is. Would a VZ user care to comment? Ask in the VZ forum.
3) I will try to make a guide on installing the Clie Organizer, but much later. I want to fix everything that I can file-wize first, like that arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen. Once that is done, the Clie Organizer will be able to work fully on the UX with a few exceptions.

| yeah a one page explanation and links to the files would be really great, im kinda having trouble sifting through the posts, but i understand its still a work in progress so dont hate!
Cool stuff, once the files are all linked form one place and the instructions are all very clear, i will DEF use clcie organizer.
also where is?:
"I installed Clie Organizer For PC (just like Palm Desktop but for Clies and looks better) from SonyClie.org"
Is this the same as palm desktop for clie ver 4.1? |

| Clie Organizer for PC is different from Palm Desktop for Clie. You can see then as two seperate downloads at sonyclie.org, on the Drivers page (middle column).

| If you installed any new codecs, such as Avr MQTParser, I suggest deleting them, soft resetting, and trying your camera again. If this works, you can probably reinstall the codecs and all should be well.

Did you install CamLib, if so you might have to find a way to delete it or reload Backed up data!
I had the same problem and found out it was CamLib. Should have posted it but was too busy dealing with the problem. I got it off by reloading my backup data. That should work.
FYI people, do not use CamLib on your UX, it stops the UX camera from working correctly. This is because a CamLib is already in the ROM.

| Some Interesting Finds!! Extended Battery & Internal Battery
To do this, you need to cover the fourth, last, or positive terminal of your Extended Battery. Connect your device to the battery. Make sure the battery is off the charger and that's it. You can see both, but the only thing is that the Internal Battery is in use.
------------------------------- Clie Organizer Add-on Finds
As you can see for yourself, the arrow discussed earlier has library files that appear to be in the ContentsListsLib file that are needed for the arrow to work. The pictures show the string "Stickers" as well as pictures used in the arrow section. All I need is some kind of skin, or launcher that will allow the arrow to work.

| Hey guys. Sad to say but I'm stopping my work on this project. We've reached very far but I think that all the files necessary for the Clie Organizer have been discussed. The files that allow the arrow to launch must be built into the device itself or just needs silk space to expand. This is why it rotates on the VZ90. If one of the programmers of this forum could rotate the Clie Organizer for the UX that would be great. I am a Visual Basic.NET novice programmer, so I'm no help with Palms. I can't afford the Crossfire program. So If anyone is willing to rotate the software, which it is possible, please help us out here. Thanks.
If it could rotate like this, that would be great.
The only tabs that need rotating is the FreeNotes and Datebook.
