NZ-90 Batteries

Apparently Sony has discontinued ALL support for NZ-90s. I just received an NZ-90 from a cousin who no longer needed it as she upgraded (My original Handspring was stolen). It works perfectly, except the camera/flash doesn't work as there is not enough battery power after fully charging it. I tried to buy a replacement battery tonight, and ran into several brick walls. Apparently SONY no longer supplies the battery since they have discontinued the NZ-90, and we all need to try and find it on the aftermarket. I don't mind that they stop making a device. All manufacturers do that sort of thing. But, without the battery, this means they are also they are no longer supporting their products that are out there. THIS RENDERS THE UNIT IMMEDIATELY OBSOLETE!

I am angry enough with Sony due to their not supporting their products that I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER SONY PRODUCT! This includes all the following:
Sony Broadband Entertainment
Sony Pictures Entertainment
Sony BMG Music Entertainment (50% ownership)
Sony/ATV Music Publishing (50% ownership)
Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc.
Sony Disc Manufacturing and Distribution
Sony Connect Inc.
Sony Plaza Public Arcade and Sony Wonder Technology Lab (New York)
Metreon -- A Sony Entertainment Center (San Francisco)

I think we all need to write to Howard Stringer. He's the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sony Corporation of America, and as such, he oversees Sony Electronics Inc., the company's U.S. based electronics hardware sales, marketing and manufacturing business. His address is:

Howard Stringer
550 Madison Avenue,
New York, NY 10022

You can also write and express your dissatifaction through the following link from their corporate website:

You can reach Sony Electronics Customer Support by going to http: //www.sony.com/support or by calling 1-888-476-6972.

Remember to keep it businesslike. This way we might get listened to, and maybe they will start to supply the batteries again at a reasonable price.

if you phone Sony support that your battery is dead you will get a replacement. If you just ask where to get an extra one they do not sell...

Sounds funny, it is not, but that is how it worked for me!

cheers Nicolas
