| Good work
For the moment it seems it is Japanese network... Do you know if there are also CF cards which could handle GSM network, or UMTS network?

It is common to use CF communication card in Japan.
Also in my knowing, 20 or more kinds of products exist.
These are all original specifications and can use only the inside of Japan.
Were you surprised?
I know with the product outside Japan.
It is Audiovox RTM8000 only. Audiovox RTM8000 (Tri Band GSM/GPRS) |

According to my memory, Pelaca made a driver for Audiovox RTM8000.
I can convert this driver into VZ90 further.
However, I cannot do the guarantee which it works by VZ90.
As I have stated, there is a possibility of not stabilizing and working on the problem of timing.
I regard that it works well as 50% of possibility. |

I'll see if it's possible to get it in France, if you want to update it on VZ, I'll test it with pleasure
I keep you in touch

| lmame.
First, I analyzed the Pelaca's old driver.
And I found out the CIS information on RTM8000.
[RTM8000 CIS information]
VID 0279h
PID 950bh
Config Table Number 05h
IO address 02f8h
Based on this information, I made patch software for VZ90.
I cannot do a guarantee.
Does this patch work well or not?
I pray your fortune. Mini's patch for RTM8000 |

| Hi.
Ok I received the card and I tested it and I can't do anything
I installed successfully the driver and the card is reconised by the system.
Here are my differents tests so far:
1°) Normal configuration GPRS:
If I use a "standard" configuration:
Modem side:modem / RTM8000 / 56 kb / AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","websfr"
Network side: Login = password = G / phone = *99# (or *99***1#) / DNS checked (or not) / IP not checked / no script
I got no really error, it tryes two times to connect (launching: CF GPRS, the name of my connection for 15 or 20 seconds), I can see the CF card blinking red (wake up) and then blink green (ready to go), the VZ tryes to connect but it does not do anything...It just try to connect twice and then stops with a 0x1102 error.
2°) Script version GPRS:
If I try this:
Modem side: linked to = PC / RTM8000
Network side: login = password = G / DNS checked (or not)
Script:
Send: ATZ
Send RC
Send: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","websfr"
Send RC
Wait: 1
Send: *99***1#
Send RC
End
In this case I got the book icon, then the handshake icon and then an error: 0x1231 (PPP timeout).
If before the END I add:
Wait: CONNECT
Then I got another error: 0x1212 (timeout).
3°) Normal configuration Modem:
I try to establish a "modem" connection with an ISP:
Modem side:modem / RTM8000 / 56 kb / ATZ (or nothing)
Network side: Login = xxxx / password =yyyy / phone = 01234567890 (phone number of my Isp) / DNS checked (or not) / IP not checked / no script
I got the book and then the handshaking icon, but then an error: 0x1102...
4°) Phone:
I try to make a call (same as 3°) but I put a phone number of mine), it rings successfully, I hear "bip, bip, bip" as a fax request on the called line...
Anyway, it seems it does not work, I tryed quite a lot of things and I will try more tonight

| lmame.
You have succeeded in sounding the bell of a telephone with the 4th test.
I judge that RTM8000 is working well according to this fact.
You should act calmly.
Do you have NotePC or PocketPC?
First, please check that RTM8000 is connected with them and it can connect with the Internet. |

This message is written with my VAIO notebook (Windows XP) connected on Internet with the RTM8000...
So I can connect with RTM 8000 in GPRS with Windows XP (very simply, no problem)...

| OK.
I understood that RTM8000 is no problem.
Next, please check a network log.
The figure shown below is the case of the telephone company in Japan.(WCDMA)
It differs from your telephone company.(GPRS)
Please check the portion of the last of a log.
"ip address" and "Gateway" and "DNS", Are these addresses recorded?
1) If there is no record, you have failed in login.
2) If recorded, it will have failed in the ppp session.
In the case of 2), it is hopeless. |
