| Card read error!! HELP!! :( I have a ScanDisk MS PRO 256 (MG) and it has been working great, untill now, where when I tap on Data Import to start a file transfer, and it says "No Card detected". Now, the card works fine in that it reads all the files on it and programs run fine, music, etc while in normal use, But once I go to Data Import it "kills" my card. From then on it acts like its not there. This is "solved" by poping the card out and back in.
Furthermore, its inconsistent. When I go to audio player, i can ocasionlly (every other time to be exact) still transfer out.
What should I do? I've considered reformting the card but im afraid thats a bit drastic, although of course ill do it push comes to shove.
Any advice at all would be great.
Thx in advance.

| You can save the entire contents of your card on your computer with the file structure, reformat it, and then try to put the files back. I have the same card, but have never had this error with my TH-55. Have you deleted anything relating to the file structure, such as any of the folders added when formatting it with the Clie. Obviously, I must also ask if you have any other programs that alter the card that you have just installed. Trying to install things such as softick's cardexport will mess up the handheld, but will cause a hard reset, not the problems you specified. Still, if you do have any programs like this, they could be the problem.
Edit: If push does come to shove, Cliepet has an experimental program that can mount/dismount the memorystick. Having this installed may solve the problem. You can find the program at http://aibohack.com/clie/index.html Cliepet claims that it works on the NX/NZ, but I am not sure if it works on other handhelds.

| Reformating the card worked like a charm. exept that once i put all the files back ont there it started doing it again. So that leads me to beleive that its a file on my card thats causing the issue, and im not sure what it is....

| If you do try to use Cliepet's mounter program, be sure to install it to ram. Do not run it off of the card, because if you do, you will have to do a soft reset after dismounting the stick, to get the program to reappear. I have obviously tried it on the TH-55, and it does work. It will probably work on any Sony handheld that supports compactflash or memorystick.

| SOLUTION: I couldnt beleive what file it was. Under AliasExt a file named Bejeweled%21 was the cause of my problem, how this file got currupt i dont know but with it there it causes the problem. So hopefully someone can benefit from my experience and have a solution ready for them.
Thanks for your advice jJesusfreak.
