| are Chapura products like PocketMirror Pro any good? they seem to have some good products, but their prices seem abit steep...
Other than the price, how are their products...I am especially interested in their PocketMirror Pro and Key Contacts!
Thanks for any info,

| Yes, I've been using PocketMirror for years (since the first version) and have always been happy with the results!
I've considered KeyContacts, but didn't want to get into 2 contact databases on my Palm; their support is pretty good, too |

| Thanks for both your replies...check this out... captainao
I think, if your using PocketMirror Pro and then you use Key Contacts.....
I think Key Contacts, during the install, takes over the PocketMirror Pro's controll of the contacts.
Am I wrong?
Thanks,

| You're right Paully_girl, but I believe that other apps can't see the KeyContacts db - for example, I use datebk5, and my understanding is that it can only link to contacts in the "normal" contact db. The alternative is to let both sync, but I wasn't comfortable with this approach - and I don't need the extra data that badly |

| Okay, I found Datebk5, it looks great!..but... I thought pocketmirror had a calender as well...
Do you find that Pocket Mirror and DateBK5 work okay together?
Is there something that you have to turn off in either of them, to have them work okay together..
Also..Do you run PocketMirror and DateBK5 off the memory stick or are they made to be run on the NX60 instead?
thanks again,

| PocketMirror doesn't run on the Clie. It runs on your PC and changes your conduits so that they the calendar, notes, tasks and/or contacts synch from Outlook.
Datebook5 reads from the standard Palm datebook database and adds other stuff to it. So, if you use PocketMirror, everything works fine. |

| I got PocketMirror with my Palm V and now I use it for my Clie. I ran into some problems with Intellisync mis-syncing some data with Outlook and returned to my trusty PocketMirror. Syncs now are problem free... :-) |

| I use PocketMirror Pro, KeyContacts, and PocketJournal -- all GREAT programs.
I find that Pocket Mirror is both faster and more accurate than Intellisync.
Granted, my Outlook habits may not be typical (2100 contacts, lots of calendaring, and lots of Journal entries), but I find that the advantages of KeyContacts (all the fields in Outlook available) just about offset the fact that other add-ins can't "see" the contacts (including, surprisingly, PocketJournal).
If you at all use the Journal in Outlook, then PocketJournal is a must .. it means that I can (a) make journal entries on my Clie and have them appear in Outlook and (b) carry my Outlook Journal entries with me at all times.
CHAPURA -- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

| I also dumped IntelliSync after trying it out for a week or two. Now I'm back to using the PocketMirror that came with my old (now my wife's current) m515, with the 3.12 update patch downloaded from Chapura. PM, even the Lite version, gives many more options that IntelliSync. In particular, you can control the behavior of category synchronization. |

| I am changing from a Visor Prism using Pocket Mirror Pro and Outlook to a new Clie. I want the categories functions of Pocket Mirror. I understand from the above posts that I can use PM with my Clie, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I loaded Intellisync Lite when I first set up my Clie. Do I install PMPro and then uninstall ISL? Where do I tell the Clie to look of PMPro instead of IS? |

| I believe that the PocketMirror installer will disable the ISL conduits (since "normal" operation is to have only one set of conduits to the internal apps). However, you could uninstall ISL then install PMPro - that will work as well. |

| I bought datebook 5 and am very happy with it. It is loaded with features, including the use of icons in datebk. Very cool program!
Worth the purchase.....imho

| Thanks for the advice on changing from Intellisync to Pocket Mirror. I'll do it as soon as I have time.
By the way, I've been using Pocket Mirror with DateBk 5 since DateBk 5 came out (I upgraded from DateBk 4!) on my Visor with no difficulties at all. It IS a really cool program. I'm using in on my Clie very satisfactorily. |
