The MAI does not actually have your video. Look on your MS under /MQ_ROOT/100MQV01 and the MQV files in there are your videos. Copy them to your PC and rename the to .mov (change Q to O) and play them with quicktime. If you want at that point you can find a quicktime to mpeg converter on the web someplace.
the .mai files are just thumbnails. The SONY provided IC is actually good and serves its purpose (mostly ) ...
