| TG-50 on Sony Style Canada! That's the good news.
The bad news is that it's $649.99, about $50 more than it should be.
The Tungsten T MSRP in the US is $399.99, and Canada it's $599.99
The TG-50 MSRP in the US is $399.99, and Canada it's $649.99
Are the two companies using the same currency converter?
Argh.

| Well... at least it's better than $699 -- the price the T665c debuted at.
But yeah, in Canada, we always get the worst of things. I'm going to kill Sony. |

Well, you Canadians always get the short end of the stick and the Aussies get an even shorter one. I don't think they even have the NZ90 yet.

That is roughly how it's gone. Yes, I do need professional help, or a bigger wallet. Or win the stinkin' lottery.

I suppose... Though I think Sony is treating Canada a little bit better now.
We never received the T615, got the T665 very late, we got the NR70v much later, never got the NR70 or NX60...
Surprisingly, we got the NZ only a week or two after the US, and it looks like we're getting the TG-50 at the same time. I'm also pretty sure we got all the new SJ and SL Clies at the same time.
I just wish I didn't have to pay the extra $50 just because Sony decides to round UP the currency conversion.

#5 | | Guest | What currency converter does Palm use? US$400 to CA$600 sounds good, but the Zire is US$100 and in Canada it came out at CA$176 if I'm not mistaken. The price has come down to CA$150 but it is just a retail store price drop. Wonder if they were using an old pentium calculator :-)
600/400=1.5 Tungsten
176/100=1.76 Zire
650/400=1.625 TG50
P.S. When will the TG50 be coming to Canadian stores (BB, Future shop, Staples, etc) | |
