| Thanks Lance, for all the test (including this on-going realtime battery test).
I might get one soon...it seems Gekko's problems are not widespread and might be confined to his unit. I'll post my own observations once I get mine... |

Now, after the devices charge, I plan on conducting the same test tomorrow, except with the screen off.

| Lance, that is the most awesome battery comparison I've seen so far. You are doing an unbelievable job reviewing the T5. I commend you! |

I really hope you have learned a lot, and I hope you have enjoyed the experience.
I really appreciate all the nice comments! Thank you!
Sincerely,

| Lance, you deserve my virgin post on 1src . I appreciate your good work. I'm basically torn between the T3 (at a lower price) and the T5 (better battery and no slider) Maybe I should do it on my current ipaq and see how it fares
Regards,
JK |

JK | Thanks, JK. Your post is much appreciated! By the way, welcome to 1src!
I really try to stick the facts because I really do not want to persuade people one way or the other. I want them to make the decision, but I want to give them as much information as I can in order to make that decision an informed one.
If there is anything I can help with, just let me know.
Sincerely,
Lance |

| Lance! For an experienced PalmOS user, who depends on a stable and fast device, would you, "bottom line" recommend the T5 as an upgrade for the T3? Mostly use DateBK5, contacts and RepliGo

| Try another battery test Hey Lance,
As others have stated, we appreciate the non-biased assessment that you have given us so far. Keep up the good work.
Why don't you try the same battery test as you just finished, but this time try it with the screens on the T3 and T5 at the highest level--that way we can see how each does as maximum performance. This test should take significantly less time than the 1st.
Thanks,
David Hayes
PS. This is my first post also...have been a long time member of Brighthand forums and got directed here from those forums.
I am a long-time Palm owner (Vx, M505, M515, TT, and now T3).

Right now, I have come to the point where the T5 is deader than a door nail. I ran it until it could be run no more. It actually read 0% before it died.
I will wait a little while longer to wake it up. Then, we will see if this memory works as advertised.
By the way, thank you, and welcome to 1src!
Take care,
Lance |

Christian | You don't waste any time getting to the point, do you?
Seriously, I have not tested DateBk5, but I plan on it. As for Repligo and Contacts, both appear to be running well on the T5.
Even though I have done a lot on the T5, I still have a limited amount of experience with the T5. I mean it has only been available for a couple of weeks so it is really hard to answer.
At the same time, I realize others are probably wanting me to share my thoughts. If you would help me and maybe some readers identify with your situation, could you tell me what you are using now? If not a T3, are you deciding between a T3 or a T5? If it is a T3, why are you looking for something else?
Anyway, I do not mean to put you on the spot, but I think the information will help.
Thanks,
Lance |
