| I do have to say it is nice to see at least one thread that doesn't beat the T5 to death. I think it will be a great PDA for me and a lot of users. Is it a T3 replacement? Only the person upgrading can making that decision. If people don't like, they don't have to buy it. I look forward to seeing your thoughts on it and can't wait to add to them when mine shows up. |

| I dont see it as a T3 replacement, but a nice upgrade to the TE if you can sell it and use the funds to get a new T5. Boo hoo. I want a new one and have no funds to do so. |

| AC charger brick incredibly hot... For those of you who have your T5, does your AC charger brick get extremely hot, almost to the point of being too hot to touch?
I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this and if I should be concerned.

Hmmm - I was hoping that a hard reset would leave the internal flash drive contents alone. Did you happen to have a password set on the handheld? If there is, then a hard reset will cause a zero out reset on the T5 according to the Palm KB support site. Still wondering if a hard reset on a non password protected T5 wipes out the internal flash drive data. It's not clear at all from Palm.

That's Zeke... He's a male merle rough collie. I just like the picture because he looks particularly goofy. Right now he's snoozing on a couch that he seems to think he owns...

#22 | | Guest | Here's something I noticed around if the T5 was to have a vibrating alarm. It's part of the sound icon story mentioned on bargainpda.com.
I've noticed that after a hard reset there are 3 dialog boxes to control sound when selecting the time from the bottom bar. They are the same three dialog boxes - custom, silent, and all off that the T3 has. If I select silent, exit out, and come back into the sound and brightness panel you will now only have custom and silent options. Not a big deal, but odd at the least.

| I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering about this. I've read that the T5 has a media app that can play mpeg movies. Is this true Lance? And if so, have you tried to beam it to your T3?

Thanks,

I will find out more about the video playback tomorrow, well today, I mean.
Best regards,

I had a thought when looking at the TE and T5 together, I thought about the BMW 3 and 5 series. The 5 is just a bit larger, has a few more features, and is more expensive, but does have similar looks (at least for a few years until one or the other is redesigned). Maybe P1 was going for that effect, it is somewhat effective if the price aint too high (the T5 is too high). Just a thought.
It all looks great Lance. Thanks for the pics. When you get a few weeks with it, I would like to know how you think of it as a daily device compared to your T3 and Zodiac. Seems that it will do well, provicded you dont do the Calendar no-no. |
