As mentioned IC2 is a new tool for MP4 only (looks like the removed the internal reliance on QuickTime found in IC1). IC2 can be used for TH and UX devices (with the VZ codecs) but not the NX/NZ series.
You aren't missing much.
If you already have a process for converting your movies using IC1 - then stick to it.
The resulting .MQV file created by IC1 is very similar to the .MP4 you would get from IC2 (with the same settings, max 384kbps for the older models typically)
Don't be fooled by the name, the MQV files are MPEG-4 video and audio - packaged in a QuickTime wrapper.
