| Ok, now some warnings on Media Launcher:
The media center works but only in 480x320 mode, so it will look ugly on TH55 for example adn rather fine on UX.
The Video player will be able to play MQV AND MP4 files (works on a french UX50), see this thread: http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69398
The audio player will be messy because it seems the audio skin is missing (I'll check that later).
If you tweak in the menus, the media center will be the default launcher, so , beware
See this thread to see how Mr Nako managed to handle it (Hi-launcher): http://www.1src.com/forums/showthre...0648#post720648

| Now Image converter 2 case...
Here is the "installation file":
Link removed...
It seems the installation works perfectly only on japanese OS and some files are missing on French or English OS...
So here is the copy of my Image Converter 2 directory "backup file":
Link removed...
Here is what I done to make it work on a french OS:
1°) install Image converter 2 via the "installation file" (it will fail, but that's ok),
2°) copy missing files from the "backup file",
Then it works on a french OS
EDIT 2004/10/09:
Jackho has translated a large part of IC2 in English, here is the langage file (in the zip file) you have to put in directory "\Program Files\Sony\Image Converter 2\MovieConverter\Data\": Lang.zip

| Ok, here is a "how to" for Image Converter 2 (on a french OS so you got all little squares as it if were on an English OS) :
When you launch Image converter you see this:
Left tab lists the files you want to convert, right tab shows you the already converted files.
To add a file, just drag and drop it in the left tab, or add it:
You can add AVI, MPG, WMV, MOV files, and even DivX Avi with audio encoded in MP3
When you right click on a left tab file you can perform several things, I will only talk about the last letter in the menu:
S: Select
U: Unselect
V: View (launch Windows Media Player)
C: MP4 options (don't touch it for now)
D: Delete from list
P: Properties of the file
To encode in MP4, click on the MP4 convert options:
You have a combo where you can choose the quality level (the higher the better):
Then to convert selected files, click the "arrow" button, and here it goes:
When everything is finished:
If you right click on an encoded MP4 file on the right tab, you can do several things (I speak onlky of the last letter):
V: View file, try to launch the default media player, but normally you can only play MP4 files in Quicktime 6.
D: Delete file from hard disk
P: Properties
Other infos:
If it fails in the middle of the conversion, it is because the movie is corrupted...
Just try to click the arrow again, it should continuer from the last moment of the source file, but in another MP4 file.
If the encoding stops "you don't know why") then it is perhaps there is the limit of the file "on", go in this menu and uncheck the option:

| Hi Imame! Thanks for posting these apps. If you don't mind letting us know before we (I) install them on my TH55, what are the version numbers for Clie Files and Picsel Viewer? Also, are Media Center and Media Launcher the same thing? Thanks!

Clie Files is 1.1.1
Picsel viewer is 1.0.13 (issue 525)
Netfront is: 3.1, revision 2.0.34
I guess Media Launcher and Media Center is the same thing, yes

| Have got problems with the audio player. When I switch on it, I'll get the old UX50 audio player.

Use Filez, search in RAM the program MediaLMusic, go on the details tab and uncheck the "hidden" property.
then an icon will appear so you can launch it properly...
But it should look quite ugly...

| I made English localization file for IC 2. Although still many places are in Japanese, but the main screen can display English instead of Japanese, but menus, messages still can't be changed.
Here is the url of language file (remember to right-click and choose "Save Target As"): http://www.i-netserv.net/clie/Lang.dtd
Replace the original file in "\Program Files\Sony\Image Converter 2\MovieConverter\Data\" folder. |
