| I just want a case with good protection Okay, I've spent a million hours looking at threads here on cases. I rely on my clie just way too much so I really need something to ensure it lasts. People love looking at my th-55 so I'm really paranoid they might drop it. What do you all recommend for a good case that could protect my th-55 from drops? I saw the covertec and the sena is really nice, but apparantly people are still gettting cracked screens with the Covertec. The inno? one has some rough edges and don't close well. Rhinoskin doesn't make one for the th55 anymore. Global Products look good. So what do you all say? I currently have the Sony belt one, but then again it looks like it works only to help you carry it around. What's a good practical one that protects the clie? If it's too thick will I use my clie?
Thanks,
Danny |

| Javoedge is nice looking but the plastic holder broke after only a month.

| the innopocket metal case is petty strong. Over on Brighthand one user swears by a Rhinoskin Case designed for the V series. It fits quite well [apparently] - the measurements correlate to the th-55 with the cover on, which doesn't suit me 'coz I like it off.
I suppose these cases are for more serious protection from drops etc.. and i'd definately recommend the innopocket in your situation. |

| I've had my JavoEdge case for a couple of months now too. I've even modded the leg that is covering the reset hole, so that I could access the reset hole while the TH55 is in it. It's still as sturdy and protective as ever. I don't see how the plastic sled could just fall apart unless it goes through some serious abuse. |

| xigma or javoedge Okay, I really like the fact that these 2 allow you to keep the reflective cover of the th55. Now which one of these do you all think is better for protection and everyday use. I've never used a memory stick so I don't care if I don't have access to the memory door. I've had the sj33 before this for 2 years and never bought a memory stick so I don't think things will change much. I'd like to be able to carry my th55 on my belt though. Any opinions?
Thanks,
Danny

| Well, neither the JavoEdge or the Innopocket have belt clips. |

| After trying to convince Vaja to produce a magnetic closure case for the TH55 with no luck, I settled on a Sena and took it to a leather shop to have them remove the leather strap and snap. They installed a strip of metal and a magnet which works great. It's one of the few cases that has a cutout for the camera which keeps it a bit thinner and it fits the PDA like a glove.
If you want protection - go metal and even then it's not a guarantee although my T665C survived a drop with no damage in an Innopocket. |

I do have a question. (Probably should have asked this before bidding, but of well) The Memory Stick slots are not on the removeable ID case. Correct?
Thanks.

| I have used a Innopocket hardcase. Gave it up after a week.
Then changed to a ZOAR Surplus case (ordered from Global Source). Broke the top left plastic clip (which holds down the Th55 to the case). It still works with only 1 top clip but I have to be very careful when I take the unit in/out from the case. The other plastic clip is already showing sign of "crack". I am not sure how long it is going to last.
Check out http://xigma.jp/en/. They have very nice case for TH-55. From the photo, it looks very sturdy and robust.

No. The memory stick slots are on the actual flip cover of the case. The only thing on the removable ID / Credit card holder was the removable ID / Credit card holder. |
