Z71 Auto-resetting

Does anyone have issues with their Z71 just all of a sudden resetting itself and loosing all of their data? There doesn’t seem to be anything similar when it happens. The battery is fully charged. Thanks.

Do you mean HARD-resetting? becaus if it is a regular reset - you will not loose your date.

Dont take my word for it, but I think that would require an internal wiring problem, such as a short or loose connection.

When it resets everything is lost on the unit including the date and time. It has happened while charging in the cradle and during normal use. I've tired almost everything to make it happen, but I can't seem to figure out how to trigure it.

It was never dropped. It would just be sitting on my desk and all of a sudden reset itself.

Maybe I will someday get a new pda, but it must to have phone cababilities so I don't need to use my regular cellphone anymore. And yeah, this means I won't be hanging in here 1src that much anymore. If someone want me to remove unfinished threads from 1src or something just pm me. Keep your gadgets running!

I have had the Zire 71 for over a year now, and yes, occassionally it resets itself when sitting in the cradle with a fully charged battery, however it has NEVER wiped out my apps or data, and while it will show the set date and time screen when it starts up again, the date and time are correct, but the city needs to be reset.
