Question GPS in Japan

Hey there,
I'm taking my clie to Japan next month and was hoping to use a gps receiver with it. However, it seems to be difficult to find maps for japan. Any advice (also is there a particular receiver and software program you recommend)?
Thx,
knightleap

I bought my UX50 in japan packaged with a Sony BT1 GPS receiver. Sony. Basic maps are provided with the BT1 GPS and street level maps can be procured from the web (lePlan). It all works, curious to know whether the sony GPS reciever is compatible with other non JP mapping software

The software you mentioned does it come with the GPS? for Clies ?
is it a "vector based" or "bitmap based" software ?
In other words are the streets shown as vector lines or is it a simple picture that you zoom in and out of ?
