I love the chic linnen-look protective flap that came with my Clié TJ27, but when on the road I want to use the sturdier leather case I bought.
Problem: I cannot remove the flap. (I have done it before, but now it seems glued to the Clié). On the back of the flap is something that looks like a down pointing arrow saying "release". So I tried to get the flap off by pulling it downwards. It does not move at all.
I do not want to use to much force. Can someone confirm that the flap should be pulled downwards? Or show me how to get the thing off?
take a look at the spine of your TJ27/cover - at the bottom you will see embossed the word "Release" and an arrow pointing down. if you slide the spine of the cover down (it's a little stiff), you will be able to lift it off.
You must be really weak :P . Just kiddin'! The cover is a tad bit hard to pull down, just focus your energy on the spine (like swfreeman said) and pull down. Don't pull down on the flap itself, if you do, try to pull as close as the spine as possible.

Thank you both: it gave me the confidence of using a lot of power. The cover came off only after applying quite a lot of force - I really felt the cover might tear.
Anyway, on goes the leather case now, for although it is less elegant, it does offer better protection.
