If you install *all* the files listed on the Phone Link Updater download page (including PhoneLink.prc and PhoneLink-enUS.prc... the page says not to install these if you have a Zire 72, but some trial and [fatal] error got it working so I'm happy) as well as the driver sets, set up your phone and network like so:

Phone make: Motorola
Phone type: v520
Uses GPRS: Yes
Country: <your country>
Service: <provider name> GPRS
Make default network service: Yes

Don't connect right away, since that gave me a fatal error; instead fire up Web Pro and when it asks you to connect tap Yes.

It worked for me, using Orange (UK) GPRS WAP, and I'm now online (and posting this from my Palm ).
