#1 | | Guest | Data Export with Sandisk Memory Stick PRO Hello,
I cannot access my "Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Magic Gate" using the "Data Export" Software on the PC. "Data Import" on the Clie establishes a connection, but in Data Export on the PC it says "no card".
The card works well in the clie (for Applications etc.)
Sony Support says: "ask sandisk"
Sandisk support says: "ask sony"
Thanks in advance,
Josy | |

| Unfortunetly Sandisk PRO Memory sticks don't seem to work - you can save stuff to them no problem, but when you want to trasnfer them to the PC you get "drive unformatted" error. The problem is that I also bought another Memory Stick reader (its an 8-in-1 product also supports other cards) - and it cannot access it either ! So I just exchanged the Sandisk Pro for a normal Sony memory stick. Works fine now (a bit slower, but thats life...) |

I have a San-disk 128mb that won't be recognised using traditional Data Export, but Card export by Softick works wonders.

| Sandisk had released a batch of MS that has this problem. Try exchanging or refunding it.

| Perhaps it was me who lied. Card Export II does not support Sony Cliés, but the origanal Card Export which is still available on their site does work, thats what i use.

| Hello, I bought a 256 MB memorystick pro from sandisk, I have a sandisk 6 in 1 reader, TJ 27 clié, SyncBox.
6in1 reader not compatible with MS pro, Sandisk said they would release firmware update but perhaps they won't as their 8in1 reader is compatible w/ MSpro.
Softick said they are adding cliés to Card Export II to make them appear as standard usb mass storage so that one could use the SyncBox. I use SyncBox to empty cf card of camera directly to clié with standard memorystick then look at pictures and movies w/ the clié better screen. Fine and fun, I like this gadget and hope Softick will soon release their Card Export II for cliés. I can mount the MS pro on win XP via cradle without problem and never use data export that is too slow. |
