| Slider makes palm more compact. It would be very bad to lose it. ALso, we need WiFi, and not WiFiSD card. |

| I'd prefer a thinner Palm compared to something compact but has moving parts like the slider. However, I agree that WiFi is a must. |

| I hope they get rid of that awful button layout like on the T|3.

| BTW, if they release one called the M5, DO NOT install it in your starship! |

| Sounds great but how can someone tell it has bluetooth but not wi-fi. Wi-fi is a must. I really hope some concrete info comes out soon. I am ready to buy. |

| BTW, it looks like bluetooth is as slow as IR (at least on hotsync with T3). I am wrong?
And if that why do we need it. |

| Well, I personally would like to see a leaked pic of the T5. I like that name better than T4, it just has a more BMW ring to it. Now if they would take that BMW M-sports logo and make it a T5, ooooh that would be nice.
As for BT/wifi, I would like to see P1 do both, but I dont know that they would if they are keeping it the same thickness as the current T3 (meaning no larger than a 1500Mh battery IMO) |

| Wifi is more important to me than Bluetooth, but both would be nice.
Perhaps there are two versions coming out, one with a keyboard and one without???
I think the slider made sense on the T1 and T2, but not on a Hires+ machine. When it's open, it's larger than most other PDAs, and it's not that much smaller when closed. And there's really no other reason for it - we don't need buttons the size of quarters.
I'd like to see a powerful T|E-form machine with Wifi. Basically, a Palmone TH55, only with the proper amount of memory and a much faster processor.
Or, I'd like to see a Tungsten Treo, a cell-enabled, Tungsten-form machine. That would be sweeeeeeeeeet. |

...and a battery the size of a small planet I presume!! Lets face it, 256M RAM with a, lets say, 600MHz cpu and wifi, along with a 480x320 screen would be a mighty thirsty machine....be careful, you may get what you wish for. |

The iPaqs seem to do pretty well with similar hardware. A swappable battery might just make the issue moot. |

| You know how some car companies rip-off vehicle designs and brand them as thier own? (I.E.: Ford Escape> Mazda Tribute, GMC Envoy> Isuzu Ascender)
PalmOne should do that with the CLIEs.

good point and swappable batteries would be fantastic, but unlikely to transpire I fear... |

What I'm trying to say here is, when you get a Treo, you'll most likely use it more as an actual organizer -- for schedules, memos, etc. If you like an entertainment device, bring a TH along. |
I use my T2 for almost everything - alarm clock, workout log, workout timer, music, audio books, ebooks, astronomy atlas, observation logs, woodworking calculators, word processor, diet assistant, writer's reference, financial planner, a desktop clock all day...
And that's in addition to all the normal things like addresses, calendar, calculator, photos, voice memos, etc.
I don't like using a separate cell phone, but I can't give up 90% of what I use a PDA for just for cellular capabilities, even for something as seriously cool as the Treo 650. |
