| Rookie file copying problems [QUOTE=karnac]In trying to follow the instructions for installation of Pelaca's Audio Player, I cannot get past the step that moves the SonyMMUtilLib from the card to the handheld. It will not overwrite the existing file of the same name which it says is read-only. That also prevents me from deleting the original file.
I am having the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you - nohenrys

#50 | | Guest | Almost there! Please help me. I have 1 last step to go before I can use my CF card with my clie, but the link is broken. In the original post, it states -
"(run the setup.exe file in the windows drivers location under CFUtility on the Desktop. Or just download and unzip this file from my website which contains the setup.exe file: http://dod.hpi.net/trayip/USBSTOR.zip) "
I can't locate the set up file, and the listed link is broken. Does anyone know another active link for this function?
Thanks - nohenrys | |

| I finally got my CF and everything works!!!
BUT.....
I just have a couple of problems though.
I am using a NX70V/U.
1. Both CF and MS work perfectly. But My movie record is not able to save on the CF. I unmounted the MS using the "unmount" program, but the move recorder would not record on the CF. It would say fatal error then soft reboot.
2.My CF Utility does not display the CF information. Like the Brand and Product. Everything else works... I can play music from the CF, access the CF from the PC. But the utility cannot read the info from the CF. I am wondering whether this is a common problem or not.
3. I have my SonyMMUtiLib stuck in ROM. I have another one in RAM. But for some reason I am unable to delete the one in ROM in my FileZ.
Any help with these would greatly be appreciated!

I am able to record my voice onto CF.
Movie record I haven't been able to yet.

| Your first sentence got me excited about trying that. Then you mentioned the sytem file crashing and hard reset. -_-'
I am having difficulties in using the image converter to convert one of my movies to the MS. I got it to work on the CF.. but when I played the movie from the CF on my NX70V, it plays but then after a little bit the my pda clie freezes. I can't turn it off or anything. I let the movie run all the way through (thank God it was a music video) and then it returned back to normal. I aslo had the tracking problem to where I am unable to move my tracking dial around. It freezes whenever I do that. Then to get out of it I did a soft reset.
*sigh*..... help?

Download the CF driver on to your desktop in a folder. Then when the wizard pops up ask it to search the folder where you copied your driver and it should automatically detect the CF Driver. The other driver thats in there with the CF Driver is the MS driver.
This is assuming that you are trying to get the Data Import to work right? (Connect the Memory stick/card to your PC through your NX70V)

| Audio Player Missing Library I like all of you, I also jumped onto the CF driver bandwagon; however, I get a Missing Library error when I attempt to open the Audio Player.
What have I done (or am I doing) wrong?
I have to admit that hardly use Audio Player, I perfer to use PockcetTunes. I usually copy whatever wma file directly to the CF. PocketTune plays the window media file perfectly. But as it goes, I want all my stuff working.
Any Advice?
Thanks |

| Hey guys! In trying to download the CF utilities/drivers and hacked versions of the audioplayer and movie recorder, I ran into a bunch of dead links. If anyone would be willing to get me those files some way, I'd be more than happy to host the files on my server in addition to the Clie drivers & CDs that I already have. Just drop me an email, PM, a link, whatever and I'll get them up for those of us who don't yet have the files. I currently don't need them as I don't have any CF cards, but I know there are others out there who would like access to the necessary files. Thanks!
