Ok, to make this simple, i'm not going to explain how everything works, i'm just going to state WHAT TO DO for the NX60/NX70 (and the NX73/NX80), to allow you to listen to MP3's off of your CF card (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN UNZIPPING UTILITY INSTALLED OR YOU ARE USING WINDOWS XP)
1a) If you are using Eruware's driver currently, you must get rid of it first. Go into FileZ, search for CFSlot_Drvr file, and uncheck the read-only attribute in the details of the file. Perform a soft reset using your stylus and go back into FileZ and delete CFSlot_drvr file. Then, delete Eruware's CF Utility (using Zlauncher, just click and move it into the trash bin and then empty the trash bin).
1b) IF you are using a Clie NX60/NX70/NZ90, before doing ANY driver updates or whatever for the CF card, you MUST (this is so freakin' important :P) make sure you have the MS Pro Stick update. You should download that from the sonystyle website,
http://www.sonystyle.com. Each region has different drivers i believe (b/c different clies in different places), so i can't give a direct link to the file. But to get to the update, just go to the sony website, and click on Product and Services at the top and then click on the "launch service" pertaining to Sony Electronics Service and Support, and then click on Handhelds. Then click on your model (nx60/nx70/nz90) and click on driver updates. Locate the MS Pro driver update, download it, unzip or whatever, hotsync and ONLY THEN can you follow the rest of these instructions. This does not apply if you are using an NX73/NX80 b/c those 2 devices can natively utilize MS Pro (it's in ROM).
Next Few Steps are for the NX60/NX70/NZ90, NOT NX73/NX80, since they already have the CF driver installed:
1c) Go download Pelaca's CFUtility:

2) Unzip the file onto your desktop
3) Next, run the CFUtiltiy_X.X.X.exe (X being the current version, right now, it is 1.0.7). And JUST for mp3s (no modem or anything), just have the Storage Hacked Driver highlighted and click next.
4) Then just hotsync your device and you are half-way there.
Next Step you need for NX60, NX70, NZ90, NX73 and NX80:
5) Right now the MP3's will work if the CF is in first before the MS. But that gets very annoying having to switch them. Thus, you can download the hacked AudioPlayer and hacked MoviePlayer:

6) If you are using an NX60/NX70/NZ90, you can either uncheck background play in audioplayer, but that's VERY annoying everytime to do. Thus, PLEASE download the SonyMMUtilLib.prc, run MSImport and copy the file to the memory stick. Then copy the file from the memory stick to RAM (using FileZ, Clie Files, Zlauncher, etc...). Copy the following in the address bar to download the .prc file (which you must unzip first):

YOU MUST copy it to the memory stick first AND THEN copy it to ram (NO HOTSYNCING DIRECTLY TO RAM).
7) Unzip the AudioPlayer.zip and MoviePlayer.zip files and hotsync the .prc files to your CLIE. Now you will be able to play music on the audioplayer perfectly (for me at least) from the CF. Make sure NO MP3s are on the Clie, else you will have to do what i said before and have the CF inserted first and then the MS. Put the MP3s in the /PALM/PROGRAMS/MSAUDIO on the CF card (that is, for now, if you want the MP3s to work. Later on i will show you how to make different folders to put different songs in).
In addition, MoviePlayer will now be able to play from CF AND the MS (you will see 4 listings in the type of movies to play, MPEG from the CF and the MS and movieplayer format from MS and CF. It's AWESOME!
8) Now it's time to setup DataImport, which is basically MS Import for the CF and the MS.
I HAVE ONLY TESTED THIS ON a WINDOWS XP COMPUTER. I think the drivers only work on windows xp/2000 computers. If you can get it to work under Windows 98 or ME, goodluck, but i cannot help with this...sorry.
BEFORE installing the drivers, make sure you uninstall MS Export/DATA Export, whatever it is on you system...if you don't, the drivers will interefere. I personally don't use MS Export at all, since i just copy files into the drive that pops up in My Computer. When it's all done uninstalling, run the setup.exe from the CFUtility/windows Drivers folder. These are the drivers for the CF card for DataImport.
Once you've installed the drivers, go into the DataImport application. Make sure the CF slot is selected on the top right box, and hit connect. When it asks for the driver, you can either specify the desktop, or run recommonded scan (but that may not necessarily work). If it can't find the drivers, go back and run the advanced scan. In the search box for a folder path try C:\windows\system32\drivers, or C:\windows\inf (if on a win98 machine). Make sure when it wants to install the drivers that it installs SONY CLIE MASS USB STORAGE (CF). You want that "CF" at the end. Once it's done installing the drivers, the CF card should be viewable in My Computer. If that doesn't work you'll have to set it up in the Device Manager. Pelaca, in another post, explains it, though you have to read the directions VERY CAREFULLY:
"Go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager, expand USB controllers and run Data Import with CF on the CLIE (click connect)... If you've a device called "Sony USB Mass Storage", right click and uninstall it... now reinstall the "CLIE USB SCSI Drivers" (run the setup.exe file in the windows drivers location under CFUtility on the Desktop. Or just download and unzip this file from my website which contains the setup.exe file:

NOTE: I don't like to use dataimport b/c it is using a USB 1.1 cable to transfer files. Rather, i think ppl should use a USB 2.0 card reader - it is so much faster. But, this will work for now
10) In addition, with these hacked drivers, apps like BackupMan can now backup to either CF or MS you will see in the top right corner (i just noticed this).
EASY AS PIE! Edit: Not True, it still saves to memory stick, for me at least.
That's it! If you want to get a little more geekie, keep on reading. I have 4 helpful hints which will definitly boost your clie using powers!
Side Note #1: To have different folders on the CF for MP3s instead of all in the /palm/launcher/MSAUDIO folder, go here:

For more information (it's a REALLY USEFUL APP). Very simple steps to follow also. I suggest doing Method 2, it makes a lot more sense. All you have to do is FIRST, go into audioplayer (no matter what pda u are using) and go into preferences and uncheck "reset PB in blah blah" (i forget exactly what's it called).
Edit: You don't have to do that if you installed SonyMMUtilLib.prc (BY FIRST COPYING TO MEMORY STICK THEN TO RAM). Next, hotsync the albumswap 1.1 PRC file from that site i gave you above. NOW, make sure there are no mp3s on the MS card (b/c this only works if you have mp3s ONLY in one card). Next, place the nx70 in the cradle (if it isn't already), go to dataimport and click on CF and click connect. (or put it in a card reader). Go to My Computer and open up your CF card device. Navigate to /PALM/PROGRAMS. Now, here it gets a little tricky. Basically, AlbumSwap allows you to have different mp3s in different folders on the CF card. The folders must look like this: ALBUM_XXXXXXXX
where X is whatever you want (i.e. ALBUM_Rap Music, ALBUM_Random Songs, ALBUM_KickAssSongs). Now put whatever songs in whatever folders you want, and make sure to delete the MSAUDIO folder (yes, i said to DELETE IT).
AlbumSwap basically looks for an ALBUM_XXXX folder, gives you a list of all the folders. Then, when you click on the folder and click Swap at the bottom, it renames that folder to MSAUDIO, thus in the AudioPlayer program, only those files are seen. To change between folders, just go back to the AlbumSwap program and click on a different folder and click Swap. THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT. For more help/info with AlbumSwap you can go to the creator's website. His instructions make sense if you didn't understand mine

Side Note #2: What i was talking about before about putting in the CF before the MS, cliepet, the original creator of the 3-bit hacked drivers and AlbumSwap 1.1 (HE ROCKS!), has created a small tiny app which allows you to mount/unmount the CF and the MS (that could save battery life, no one really knows yet). And i believe this will let you play MP3s from both folders (not at the same time, but whichever is mounted first).
It's called ClieMounter. Downoad it here:

You could then, therefore, use AlbumSwap, in conjunction with this program, to have different ALBUM folders on both MS and CF, and whichever card is mounted first, those folders will be seen. To see the CF folders/songs, unmount both the MS and CF (you dont' even have to take out the cards), mount the CF and then mount the MS. To see the MS folders/songs, unmount both the MS and the CF and then mount the MS and then the CF.
It's awesome as hell, i use it all the time now. GO CLIEPET.
Side Note #3: For NX73/NX80 users, Mini created some hacked Audioplayer/movieplayer/movie rec/voice rec that allows you to use the CF card. Thus you'd have 2 apps, the original audioplayer that plays MP3s from the MS, and the AudioPlayer_CF that plays MP3s from the CF. I dunno how well it works (i have an NX70), but i've heard it's amazing (that's before pelaca came out with the UX audio/movie players. But i guess this is also useful for Movie Rec and Voice Rec). go here for more info: (and mini only made one post on cliesource....wow)

Side Note #4: When you use Voice Record and Movie Record with both the MS and CF in, they both automatically save to the CF. Voice Record, i belive, works. However, Movie Rec will only run for 2 minutes, and afterwards, say it'll fail. It actually did make the movie; all you have to do is go into FileZ, onto the CF card, into the MQ_Root/Moml001 (or whatever the next folder is called under the MQ_Root dir), and rename the .tmp file to MOV00001.MQV. You can test to see if the movie plays by going into movieplayer - It will really work!! but it's really annoying...so i would use ClieMounter (in Side Note #2) to unmount the CF and thus voice record and movie record will always now save to the MS.
Edit: If you use Clie Mounter program, then if CF is mounted, Voice REcord will save to the CF. If CF is unmounted and MS is mounted, then the Voice Record and Movie Record will save to the MS (basically whichever is mounted, it will be saved too, and if both are mounted, then whichever was mounted first the movies and voices will be saved too (but i think if both are mounted, then it will always save to the CF...but i'm not sure).
