| don't know why it wouldn't be. the TG50, like all PDAs, is Class 3 BlueTooth, and the IOGear adapter should work fine. so far there are only a handful of PDAs (both PPC and Palm) that have BlueTooth ability, and it appears just about any USB adapater works with them. |

| how much do bluetooth adapters run for anyways?
And what can you do with a bluetooth adapter on your pc besides wireless hotsync?
I know you can surf the web wirelessly, but seeing as how you have a desktop right infront of you, why wouldn't you want to surf the web on your larger monitor of the desktop? Also, to surf the web, wouldn't your desktop have to be on? |

| to surf: your desktop/laptop on and connected to the 'net.
other things: within the range of your PDA (25ft or so?) you can do just about anything-- for me, my laptop sits in my living room. i could lay on the couch and check my email or chat with my friends. next year at college i'm going to be writing notes and email on my bed, 15 feet from my desktop. i think the biggest advantage of bluetooth on a PDA is not the wireless syncing or even the desktop at all, but being able to sync your PDA with a BT-phone and keep all your contacts up to date; that and, of course, having wireless internet with a BT-phone.
BT-phone + BT-PDA + BT-headset = voice-activated dialing and calls; wireless, handsfree internet and more! |
