| A free Status Bar: WinSB... gotta check it out!! Hi.. I created my first Status Bar!! I always wanted to create my own status bar but I didnt know to do it. the_iceman told me about festus skinnermaker program and thanks to them now I have my status bar.
Hope you like it.. Check the pictures to see some buttons that are cool!
Believe me, it looks way better in the Clie. I might create a VG for this status bar in the future.
Best of all... it is free!!! WinSB (To download right click and then "save target as") I called it WinSB... I put a white memory stick, since my ms duo pro is white The Wireless info little window with a personalized icon when offline. Also when you press the icon for wifi you will see the computers blink!! The WiFi connected and some windowze touch (Check out the little computers in the status bar they have now changed to the wifi indicator which is green) And finally my screen shot showing hi-launcher. Now you understand why the silk plug-in button is like the windowze button, I use it to launch my start menu. Also check the sound button, it is muted and looks like the windowze button Update!!
I just finished WinVG. You need pruss's Skinner in order to use it. I made it using festus440 VG Factory program.
You can download WinVG from here: Download (Right click and then "save target as") Update!!
New wireless status. Download (Right click and then "save target as") Update!! August 13 2004
WinSB v2 (Includes the second wireless status icons)
Battery and MS icons by BUMP THAT Download (Right click and then "save target as")

| Very nice MrNako. I'm not sure if this is normal, but after soft resetting my TH55 and then seeing the SB for the first time, it's very nice and clear, but after pressing the home icon in the vg to go to the home screen, the SB gets grainy and blurry looking. |

Yes I noticed that also but in the simulator, I assume you are using Clie Launcher right? Because in the simulator it looked grainy when using Clie Launcher but in everything else it looked normal.
Im using appshelf and I dont have that problem. I noticed though that when using the Data Import app it also turns grainy, so I guess it is only in some Clie apps, like it switches to a lower resolution. I will still be testing it.
Maybe those SB and VG experts can explain this to us. |

| Yes, so far, it only looks grainy in CLIE Launcher and Data Import. Looks fine with AppShelf. I haven't tried it yet with ZLauncher. |

| Generally, the VG and SB will follow the launched application. If it is 256K color based, the VG/SB will revert to that level of color also. If the app is 16bit (16 million colors) then the 16bit VG/SB will look sharp!

Hmmm. The behavior of this SB verifies that. So CLIE Launcher and Data Import are less than 16 bit? They look 16 bit, well at least CLIE Launcher does.

The original one will always be in your clie since it is in ROM memory. Check out some other threads, there are programs available to change through skins easily. |

Clie Launcher is always 8-bit. That annoys me. Most apps, however, follow the system default, and you can use Skinner to set system default to 16-bits. I use the standard Palm launcher myself, and that works fine in 16-bit mode.
